Twilight Zone check-in
Opinión escrita el 4 de Septiembre de 2021
Check-in: a one hour torture. We waited in line for 15 minutes behind one other guest for the clerk to complete the previous check-in. Got to the desk, no greeting. Clerk could not find our reservation. I showed her our reservation from Choice Hotels. She still could not find it. After another search she pulled it up. Handed me the check-in. When I went to initial the rate I saw that I was being charged $60 more than the confirmation. She told me the rate was higher because it was Labor Day weekend. I explained that she could not do that because the confirmation was binding. She said that there was nothing she could do because I had booked through the website. I asked to see the manager. She said she was a trainee and didn’t known what to do. I said she should call the manager. She said that they don’t answer and when they do they hang up on her. I’ve now entered The Twilight Zone and the line of customers has lined up behind me. Apparently they are all realizing that they are going to have the same problem. On her cell she does get in touch with someone named Mina. Mina tells me that the $152 rate is the one I must pay or cancel. The desk clerk refers to me as “this dude here” in her continued discussion with Mina. I explained that I refused to cancel as I had driven ten hours and had a confirmed rate. I called the Choice Hotels number on the confirmation. After a long wait I finally talk to an agent who also says the rate is $152, but he escalates my call to a higher up. A few minutes later the hotel owner Surin Patel appears and says that he will correct the mistake, and does. When we finally arrive at Room 225, we find a shabby mildew-smelling accommodation. I’m too exhausted to request a change. We had arrived at 5:35 and it was now 6:45 pm.
Don’t stay here

Front desk unable to check reservations into system on 8/29/2021. Dozens of guests with reservations sent away. Hotel charged all customers despite not staying there.
I haven’t written a review before, but I thought people should be warned to stay away from this location!
Hotel hit rock bottom
Opinión escrita el 16 de Julio de 2021
I have been a Choice Diamond member since 2002 and have stayed in this hotel several times over the years. It has turned into a nasty, sloppily ran Schitts Creek type of “hotel/motel”. The man manager has zero customer service skills. I was given a room with a broken air conditioner (in West Texas in June). I was given no expression of regret nor resolution, just the were full. All the hotels were full so I couldn’t just check out. I bought a fan. I begged for a room and and to initiate it at the front desk because my phone did not work in the room. 2 days later I was given one. The room had no fire alarm, the furniture was in disrepair and the carpet was filthy. On my 5 night stay I received room service once after I was told I would receive it everyday. They have their children at the front desk along with a dog setting in a chair. It looks like the kids help clean the rooms also. If you like the third world country atmosphere this hotel is for you.
