Hubby and I stayed one night at this hotel. We arrived late, 10:30pm, after a LONG day on the road, looking forward to a good night sleep. We are Titanium Elite customers and booked with points. My profile requests a quiet room. We were given room 401 which was in the corner nearest the freeway and across the street from a truck stop so I heard truck engines, horns and brakes throughout the evening.
The bed mattress was okay.
There were two greasy foot prints on the carpet but otherwise the room appeared clean. Bathroom was clean.
Breakfast was a grab-and-go bag consisting of a small juice, small yogurt, a pastry and an apple. The pastry was inedible.
West Texas water is difficult to drink but the only bottled water offered was at a cost from a machine in the lobby.
Front desk clerk in the evening and morning were friendly.
Great Hotel at a Convenient Location

This was a great hotel. The room was pretty large with a sofa sleeper. The sofa area had a desk and a second LCD TV. The check in staff was very friendly. The hotel rooms were very quiet (no noise at all). We stayed Saturday night. Sunday morning the breakfast was a brown bag with a danish, yogurt, apple, and small orange juice.

We arrived on 6/18 to stay overnight. Our room was absolutely disgusting. It was never cleaned prior to our arrival. We walked into beer bottles, towels on the floor, used masks on the beds, trash over flowing and on the floor. Went down to the front desk, the employees response was sorry I can refund you but nothing else is available and I arrived at 11pm. Absolutely no help what so ever. We attempted to call Marriott and put on the forever hold of course. Finally, we asked for cleaning supplies and sheets. Nothing was available anywhere in Amarillo that night due to an event. She gave us sheets but proceeded to tell us that she couldn't give us cleaning supplies. Seriously in COVID. UNACCEPTABLE. The next morning we went back to the front desk to check out. We had to ASK for a refund. They only offered to give us 10k points. This is truly acceptable customer service. I have notified Marriott's customer service, received an email only. No call at this point, even though I was told we would be receiving a phone call to remedy the situation. Since I haven't received a phone call back, I have decided it is time to take this situation to social media.

Family stayed a night while passing through Amarillo, TX. Overall it was a nice facility. Interior is very well maintained and beds were very comfortable. This facility still has stricter than normal Covid procedures in place as they still have grab and go breakfast instead of hot breakfast like other properties and pool area is still closed.

I’m a titanium member so have stayed in many Marriott hotels. I am tired of hotels like the Fairfield reducing expenses because of COVID. There amenity list indicates a breakfast buffet. What is offered is breakfast sugar items in a bag with an unwrapped apple. If you are concerned about COVID - why serve unwrapped fruit? The printer issue is the best - there is a computer with keyboard to check in for flights, however there is no printer for boarding passes. The front desk person said the printer was taken out because of COVID.
The general appearance of the hotel is not up to standards. This may be because there is no onsite manager (this is becoming more frequent with these chains). Both sets of double doors seem to remain wide open day and nite, dead plants in front, leaning fence and missing gate around AC.
