This place is family owned. I got an excellent deal w. breakfast and parking included. No night manager, never the less they organized everything perfectly for my late arrival. I slept very well. The second night I asked for a second pillow. It was there by the time I came back in the evening. Stuffing of pillow exactly as I like it. Good quality breakfast. But the best of everything is the staff: Hardly ever I felt so welcome in a Hotel. Everybody greeted very friendly in a very respectful kind of way. I hate small talk. There is a lot of decoration everywhere, some time a little bit too much. Other than that the house is in perfect, spotless condition. I am definitively going again.

I have stayed twice at this hotel for business and the rooms are very different based on where you are located. They could be ground level standard size or two level units in the roof attic areas. They are clean with older furnishings but will be an old style experience if you are looking for that. The restaurant and bar are old style German but very enjoyable with business guests from the US.

Nice hotel just out of the town

Great hotel in a lovely location, rooms are good and all a little different. Breakfast has a wide selection and is tasty. There is a nice park just behind the river and you can walk into Amberg Center in 10-15 mins (turn right and follow the river) the bar is well stocked and you are alway made to feel welcome.

The hotel is clean and tidy. Located by a small river with quiet footpaths around. The staff are friendly and helpful and can speak English for those of us who can't speak German. The restaurant is cosy with a good choice from the menu. There is a bar with a large TV which screens football matches. Outside is a play area for small children I really can't say any negative comments about this place. It's idyllic, peaceful and relaxing

This is the most lovely and charming hotel in Amberg. Truly a gem... located just 10 walking minutes from the old city and situated inside the central city park. Breakfast has a nice buffet selection, but not a big fan of the restaurant otherwise... pricey and just lacks that special something... the taste of the food just isn't anything special. But STAY here anytime you are in Amberg overnight... you won't regret it :)
