worst experience ever here.
we stayed there many times, this time was different, normal its a wonderful experience , this time was diff we checked in nov 14th, we went for my sons best friend birthday (9 years old) we got adjoining rooms so our family's can be near each other and not in the lobby due to covid, we went to get change for the pool and my son lost his sock while changing i looked under the bed to find confetti, ,m&m and a shot glass all around the hole under bed, i went an looked at our pull out couch and there was confetti right under the pillows, i went over to the other room and checked, found a confetti a lemonade bottle beads, so on the way down to the pool we asked if we could get new rooms since ours wasnt clean correctly which she did she said she went into them and checked and they were clean, fine we went in everything seemed fine, we went to go to bed and pulled the curtains back and found part of a candy cane and cheese balls, we didnt feel like moven so we said wed say something at check out, when i checked out i informed him that 3 out of 4 our rooms were dirty, he looked at my rate and told me theres nothing he can do, now i work for a marriott and no thats not true, no apologie no nothing, i said are u kidding me your telling me my rate is affected on how clean your hotel is he said ill give you some points, i filed a Marriott customer care saying pretty much alll this to find out the manger closed it and pretty much noted the same thing due to my rate, ive called the hotel multiple times to try to speak to management but still havent gotten a call back, when i spoke to the girl who moved us she said "you didnt find chesses balls in your room me and my boyfriend checked them they were clean." this hotel use to be my choice for our little staycations but after this. i wont be returning to this location, on top of is as we were goin down to the pool sunday morning the guys stayed back and loaded up the cars, housekeeping saw us leave our rooms in bathing suites asking if we were leaven, we also heard others complaing on our floor about the rooms not being clean, im sorry but with covid aroud noone should be walking into there room finding things from another person stay. what someone pays for a room has NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW CLEAN IT SHOULD BE, im not sure why the staff there dont understand that, i do expect a call or a email back still.
RN
Excellent customer service. Everyone was so nice. Clean rooms. Left the pool area open a little later for us to use. Comfortable. All around great stay. Beautiful hotel. My husband and. I would definitely stay there again.
GREAT hotel
This is a prime Marriott property, fairly new, with a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel. Lots of free parking. Free, but typical continental breakfast for limited morning hours.
Charged me for a service I didn’t receive
This is a combined review of my experience with Hotels.com and the Courtyard Marriot in Amherst. I used the app to book a hotel in Buffalo and the app defaulted to the Amherst location. I immediately called Hotels.com to try and change the reservation to the hotel I was at in Buffalo. Long story short, I had to pay for a stay in the Amherst Courtyard Marriot when I didn’t even go. I also had to pay for my room in Buffalo. Both services blamed the other and I was not given a refund. I will never use Hotels.com again.
Great place to stay near UB
Conveniently located near UB. Great place with great staff. Loved the bistro, It was perfect for breakfast. They are going thru renovations so it was a bit noisy but wasn’t a huge issue for us since we were out most day anyway.
