Nice in all respects but one
I don't know how to rate this property in terms of stars. Our family group had three rooms and in the following respects they rated 5 stars: the rooms were new, well-appointed and clean. The breakfast was good and common areas bright and inviting. However, the heating system rates zero stars because zero is what the temperature felt like most of the time. Although there is a thermostat to control the under-window unit (1970s technology), once the temperature reaches the desired number, the unit (which is displaying heat mode???) switches to blowing -- and I mean gale force wind level -- freezing cold air right over the bed. One family member asked for an extra blanket which was not delivered to the room and ended up layering the bath towels on top of the bed for warmth. Others wore extra layers to sleep in. I cannot understand how a brand new hotel could have such an antiquated and inadequate HVAC system. So despite doing many things right, we won't stay in this hotel again.
Nice property but poor soundproofing
While the property itself and the rooms are comfortable and modern there is very poor soundproofing between the floors. You can hear every footstep your upstairs neighbors take. I am not heavy footed at all but noticed the same simply walking around my room. I had to download a white noise app on my phone to be able to sleep as it was that loud. I tried to set the fan on the AC unit to run continuously but that is not an option, I would only assume to save the hotel money. This hotel was built in 2018 which is a shame for such a new property. If you have a reservation here, ask for a room on the top floor which is the 4th floor.
New property close to UB and rt290
As a regular Marriott Customer, we opted for this very new property. Very close to UB, Maple rd, Niagara Falls Blvd..lots of food and shopping. Rooms are large, ultra clean. Though the vacancy was light, I still had someone above me , trotting back n forth. Halls are wide . Breakfast was the usual Marriott fare, well maintained .. $89,aaa rate...
Hockey season has begun again
After getting screwed by another hotel for our 1st hockey tournament of the year last minute, our booking agency was able to get us in here for the weekend. It is a newer hotel, so everthing was updated and clean. I personally thought the pillows were terrible, but I am picky about my pillows. It was close to lots of food options. I was not impressed with the breakfast. It was the same thing every day we were there. Waffles, Eggs and Turkey Sausage. Change the meat up a little.
great hotel and quiet place
i like everything about this hotel except for the following - its like 15 mins away fr baltimore niagara airport - no shuttle services - with microwave and ref but no spoon or pork in the room and no plate and stuff
