Great Location and overall decent hotel
Opinión escrita el 16 de junio de 2022
We were hiring a car and didn't want a hotel in downtown Amman as we wanted to avoid the traffic. We also wanted to spend 1 day to travel to Jerash, Ajlun and Umm Qays, so being on the outskirts of the city was perfect for us. I don't get people who are rating this hotel down because of its location. If you didn't like the location, why did you book this hotel in the first place? The taxi only costs around JD3 -4 to get to downtown and the journey takes around 25min. The Mecca Mall right next to the hotel (literally 100m or less) is also very good and has all sorts of shops you would ever want to visit. Most shops are open until very late, so after our travel to the city centre as well as to Jerash, we ended up spending some time at the mall just to buy some Islamic clothing items, which aren't as accessable in the UK. A very well-sized supermarket is also right next to the hotel, so a good place to get cold drinks or bottled water, which we ended up using a lot throughout our trip to Jordan. There was plenty of parking on the street as well as on the side and beneath the hotel. Just turn up and someone from the hotel will guide you to where the best place to park is for you. We were given the side parking all to ourselves, so that was nice as the car was in a secure location and right next to the hotel entrance. The staff is very friendly and nice. They speak very good English and are always happy to help you out. We were very happy with our room; it was modern and looked recently renovated with touch sensitive light switches that could be controlled from your bedside as well as the entrance door. In fact, it looked like we were upgraded to a larger room as we had a small area behind a wall to sit and have coffee or just look out of the window. We used that area as our prayer area, which was very useful. There was ample space to place our luggage and toiletries, the bathroom was well lit and modern with a walk in shower and good size sink and mirror (similar to in high-end hotels). A couple of points, which slightly let down this hotel were the fact that we weren't told that in order to get our room done, we had to press one of the switches that would illuminate the 'Make Up My Room' button. On our second day we were disappointed that our room wasn't done and we only found out after speaking to the reception. It wasn't a big deal, so that's not a deal-breaker. The rooms could also do with some additional lighting. The entrance part of the room was very dark even with all lights turned on. The only other thing was the breakfast, which was very simple and basic with not many international choices. We didn't mind it, but it would've been nice if there were a few extra choices, especially continental items. On the first night, we also had to deal with some noise from a cafe or restaurant nearby, where loud music was being played until very late at night. But we were so tired that it didn't bother us too much and we fell asleep regardless. Overall, the hotel's location was ideal for us as we had a rental car and for the price we really couldn't complain about it. Good AC,

Stale food and ok rooms

Rooms were ok. Lighting was not great. Breakfast and hospitality not great. Breakfast was stale and not many choices for vegetarians. There are better hotels that could be found at the same price. Location of hotel is also not in downtown - at least 15-20 min car ride to downtown.

New Hotel Spacious But Be Careful Of Hired Driver Scam
Opinión escrita el 22 de marzo de 2020
The hotel itself is new. Room was spacious and modern. Toilet paper is only a quarter roll. Staff I encountered were pleasant except I had a couple experiences that left me very disappointed. First I booked a driver from the hotel to take me to different sites for a couple of days. I ask the hotel if should I pay the hotel or the driver and I was assured I pay the hotel. When I checked in I unfortunately told I had to pay the driver cash. I showed the front desk the exchange of emails I had with the hotel stating that and all I get was yeah the night person don’t know. Which leave me scrambling for cash since I didn’t have all 450JOD. Fortunately there’s an ATM. The other issue I had was the driver Khalid took me to Wadi Rum but hired someone for the jeep tour from some shop but we never entered the visitors center instead we took a detour. Right there and then I know I was scammed. When I asked why he said this way is not crowded. As a solo female traveler I backed off for safety reasons. I felt so robbed of seeing where I came to see which is the protected area of Wadi Rum. So maybe the hotel should look into that.
