Here for a night recently. While the beds were decently comfortable, the decor and framework were dated. They had installed those sliding closet doors, which left a small space for one to access. The doors were hard to maneuver and unwieldy. Business center only has computers that charged for utilization. It was out in the open lobby, and provided no privacy. One could not really conduct any business matters that way. Was told that it has always been that way !! Fitness room was decent - water bottles provided, water from Alaskan glacier, high pH....pretty good. Decent selection of free weights, treadmills, elliptical and benches.
Event staff provided exceptional service.

I stayed at the Sheraton Anchorage in Downtown on a business trip in October 2021. At the last minute, I required private office space to conduct urgent business. The event staff availed themselves of a conference room and stayed late after hours to make sure my needs were met. The front desk staff were also professional and welcoming and the room were clean and properly appointed. I appreciated the lock boxes in the rooms. If you are doing business in Anchorage the Sheraton is an excellent choice for service and is centrally located.
Uh, don't stay here.

Late night check in on wife's Bday was questionable in that front desk was not very knowledgable and booked us into a Suite using SNAs. As we entered the room, we noticed it wasn't a suite but a room with King with adjoining room with two Twins? Uh, it's just my wife and I...do we lounge on the twin beds in separate room and watch TV? Next morning bright and early AGM corrected this and gave me opportunity to view new Suite and it was perfect. Except, the front desk staff noted after our second night in the new Suite that regardless of my concerns that the temperature was 85 degrees in our room, the Hotel had turned off the AC for the season and they would not move us to another hotel. Oh great, they really wanted to host an upset customer for two more days. My wife figured out that if we covered all the Heat Returns with towels, we could bring temp down to 74 and open window sporadically. So, in essence we were our own HVAC techs. Hilarious right? Had housekeeping 1/4 nights. I finally just called Loyalty services for my concerns as their own staff and management had had it with me. Outcome? 40K points added to my account which I feel while a nice gesture, a pittance compared to the poor customer service offered here. We tried the comp breakfast one day but our other 3 days pink tags went unused. While the service was personable and great in the Cafe, the food was not the best. Oh, and I kid you not...the room bathrooms as noted by AGM are the same throughout the property and are the size of a closet, no bueno.

One night Saturday stay arrived 9pm had booked a regular king room, we were completely surprised when we entered room 1315 and found ourselves in 1br huge hospitality suite with dining room, wet bar and 2 full bathrooms (see pics). Everything is new comfortable and spotless. I felt guilty that hotel would give us such a big room for our short 13 hour stay. Marriott platinum got us $20 pp credit for a great made to order breakfast and waitress was very friendly. I asked for parking to be added to bill for $10 per night but hotel seemed to have comped us on that as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed at this property one night in mid-August upon arrival in Anchorage. We selected the hotel as now part of Marriott Bonvoy and walking distance to Anchorage Museum where we were meeting our Park Connection bus to Talkeetna the next day. We took a cab from the airport, very easy. Our room was immaculately clean with comfortable bed. We were on the third floor and so no view other than in the distance as we overlooked the hotel air conditioning unit. No place to get a drink or anything when we arrived but front desk staff directed us to local options and we walked over to Glacier Brewhouse. Other front desk staff thought we should take a cab. We were aware of reputation that hotel surroundings were a bit sketchy and although the immediate area is lacking, we didn't feel unsafe. Next morning we located White Spot Cafe and had a good breakfast. No drug store in area to be found but the staff guy who took our luggage to store when we had to check out or room directed us to a supermarket with drug store items on Gambrell and we walked over there. Not someplace most tourists would be heading too. We came back gathered out luggage and went to Anchorage Museum. My husband did use the gym early in the morning on Friday and that was fine and clean plus offered a great view
