Too many negatives to stay there again

For reasons unknown, we were given a handicap-accessible room (we did not request one). The room was clean. The bathroom has been retrofitted for handicap use. However, the retrofit was done poorly. The shower curtain is too short, so there was water all over the floor. The shower head is too small and water pressure was very low, so water was literally dribbling out rather than a good spray We don't think anyone came into the room during our stay. The towel we left on the floor was not picked up, the used paper cups were not replaced, the coffee packets were not replaced. The light switch by the door did not turn on a light, but started the microwave. Although the room was clean and the lights and tv all worked as they should, there were too many negatives for us to want to stay there again.

Was required to pay the pet fee in cash, used shampoo and conditioner bottles in bathroom, overcharged on checkout. Couldn't communicate with staff due to a language barrier. I would find somewhere else to stay if I were you.

This hotel has improved a lot over the past 4 years under the new ownership. Ignore the older reviews. The interior and exterior have been repainted. There is new carpeting in the rooms and hallways. The lobby has new furniture. The staff is friendly and helpful. Easy access to the highway, stores, and restaurants. Close to the High Trestle Trail for cyclists. Only 25 minutes from ISU. Much cheaper than Ames on weekends with big campus events.

would recommend this location. overnight stay, from late check in to check out all employees were pleasant and helpful. room was clean and comfortable, had no issues at all. hotel is close to i35 freeway, a few blocks down. easy access in / out

Nice clean rooms with very soft comfortable beds. Friendly staff that went above and beyond to accommodate me. The breakfast is so good. Lots of new updates. Restaurants very close along with shopping centers.
