Family winter break

We just got back from our one week break in Antalya. We really enjoyed our stay in Melas. I will be honest, December time is different and the weather played a big part but we still enjoyed our stay. The hotel is immaculately clean and there are cleaners everywhere ensuring every space is cleaned regularly. The food was lovely and there’s plenty to choose from. They had entertainment but it wasn’t much, again I’m assuming due to the weather they could do so much indoors. I gave this 4 stars because the walls are pretty thin and you could hear everything. Overall, a pleasant stay with my husband and 12 year old.
new friends, fun, everything!

this hotel is more conservative- meaning you will not be able to party every day and every night. Hovewer this did not stop us from having fun. The staff in this hotel does everything in their power to make this one of your most memorable vacations ever. Fun activities like quizes and bingo are ensured! Heads up to waiter Abdullah for making the absolutely best cocktails ever and also the receptions Cihan who ensured that everything went as smooth with our stay as possible.

i returned yesterday from a wonderful week long vacation at melas lara hotel. the staff was welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. the rooms were comfortable, also with a balcony, and well equipped. the food was properly varied and very tasty. the entertainment team, led by Ismail, was also exceptional. the issue of covid 19 was an important part of the hotel's day to day operations. finally, thank you melas lara, hope to see you again soon.

We read all the reviews prior to booking & decided hotel sounded good value for money & we we’re not disappointed. Hotel doesn’t look much from outside, but very pleasant inside. Staff were very nice from outset, with warm welcome & Covid procedures in place. Sanitizer placed everywhere, signs saying “no mask no service” at bars. No entrance to restaurant without mask. Temperature check & sanitizer also in place. Unfortunately, some people were wondering around without wearing mask & not adhering to 2 people per lift. (Staff at restaurant entrance did ensure everyone entering wore masks). So sad to say it was mostly Turks who appeared to be staying for convention. The room was a good size & nicely decorated. We had a jacuzzi bath with shower over & made a nice treat to have a soak in a bath. Bed & pillows were very comfy. Mini bar was replenished daily along with tea, coffee & water. No complaints about the food at all & really enjoyed the Sushi/Asian night (think it was Monday). Plenty of choice to please everyone. Fresh orange juice was available at breakfast at no extra charge, although it was watered down slightly but still pleasant. I personally wasn’t impressed by the cocktails as they were either too weak or too strong. I tried the majority of them & the Margarita was the most consistent, plus the Barbara without cream was passable. No imported drinks available but the ‘Baileys’ tasted good. The Irish coffee was really tasty. The grounds of the hotel were well kept with plenty of space & sun beds. Pool area was very clean & tidy just like the beach area. The gym is small, very basic & not all equipment worked. Does have a squash court & tennis courts. Attend the Zumba class but was only person, so a lovely 1 to 1 lesson with lovely young lady (sorry can’t remember your name). Would ave attended again but slipped whilst shopping & hurt my Achilles’ tendon. Maybe better advertising would help people know what’s on where & when. Entertainment was held in meeting room. Guessing it was so that it didn’t disturb those guests who just wanted to relax with a drink &/or play card games etc. All in all a good value for money hotel which we would return to. The only downside (someone else had also commented on in their review) is that the rooms are not soundproofed. You can hear everything from snoring, TV, using loo roll, chatting & yes romantic events lol.

We stayed at this hotel for 9 nights as a family with a little grandchild. The hotel is small compared to others in the area but it suited us. The rooms are a good size. We had a lovely view of the sea. Good choice of food in the restaurant although the waiters do hurry families with small children to finish quickly which was annoying. They beach area was lovely and well kept. The seaside and the outside pool were really lovely but sometimes abit cold but the indoor pool was heated and we really loved using it. Mehmet at reception was excellent, always polite and professional. Very clean hotel.
