Located directly at traffic lights on main street

When we searched for this on the map it looked like it was near the sea. In fact, the hotel misplaced the location pin on the map. It is on a main road, right next to the teaffic lights, you can smell the cars in the room. For breakfast they toast the bread from the day before. No joke, although they could buy fresh baguettes anytime. We had to pay for the room in advance, which was also very strange. The price was quite affordable though. The room was very nice, very clean, the bed superb, the staff friendly. I would recommend this hotel to very busy business travellers on a low budget.

Motorway Hotel

We booked in for 7 nights at the Best Western Riviera Plus. 4 star. Glowing reviews. Sea View. Expensive - all of these we assumed would guarantee a top class hotel. My advice for anybody looking to book is carefully check: - the location - the facilities - the photos The location of the hotel is a 20 minute walk down a very busy highway to the bus/ train station which is on the outskirts on Antibes. On the map you see the marina which looks close, but there is no access from the M1. The closest beach is by the side of another highway and you will only go there once - it's noisy and empty and the only catering is a ford transit van. The reality is that every time you leave the hotel you have a 40 minute round trip on a at times very narrow pavement, on a very busy and fast single carriage road. I see a lot of reviews talk about the fact the hotel is next to a shop as THE major selling point. Think about that. There are no facilities; no bar, no gym, no swimming pool, - the lobby comprises of 4 Ikea chairs with 3 fake suitcases stacked on top of each other. The internet service is next to the front door and reception - another of their main photo's. - compliments to the photographer btw, they have done the most incredible job. The outside seating area is always empty as it is devoid of any kind of character, waitress, and is next to a very noisy highway. Ditto restaurant - it is dead. The glowing reports on the staff, please note staff is singular not plural. the staff comprises of 1 receptionist. She was very nice. If you still go ahead and decide to book here, I wouldn't recommend the "sea view", the balcony. The sea is approx 1 mile away, and the balcony is next to the highway and once again this is very noisy all day and night - it is the main road going into Antibes. We booked for 7 nights and decided to book another hotel for our final three nights in the Plage du Ponteil area, in amongst it with the restaurants, sand beaches, and people! There are lots of nice hotels here. I won't mention the name incase this breaks Tripadvisor rules, but the facilities, location and class were a different league. So much more relaxing, and it felt we were finally on holiday. Check my profile and you will see a stark difference. Question for the Best Western 'Riviera Plus' - are you a 4 star hotel because you provide a dressing gown and slippers to walk from the bathroom 3 metres to the balcony overlooking the highway - is that the reason why you provide the dressing gown? Many of the comments on here - the English is good but not quite right. I have my doubts. Biggest disappointment in a hotel in all our years of travelling. If you book and feel you got duped too then do the service of reviewing. In summary; the hotels you see at the service stations on the way to Bradford, that's exactly what this place is, except they've got Salvidore Dali to do the photoshoot The location is by far the worst part - take your time researching this very carefully. Google street view may help

Excellent Hotel

Our overall stay at the hotel was very convenient. The room was spotless with modern interior finishing. The sanitary fixtures were brand new. The location was near to many shops and a 5-10 minute drive to Juan Les Pins. Highly recommended.

Poor management - shouldn’t be asked to shower with a floor mat at a 4 star (or any) hotel

We stayed at best western plus antibes riviera 4 nights and was not happy with the stay for several reasons: - Out of towels. First day we got one towel to share (with no apology). Apparently, they had not received fresh towels from laundry - not ideal on a beach holiday, but mistakes happen. Second day when the towel wasn’t changed we went to reception who offered a floor mat. Receptionist apologised but seemed annoyed that we weren’t satisfied with the “floor mat solution” which we found quite arrogant. - There was water everywhere on the bathroom floor when showering. No pressure on the water. - Poor WiFi in the room. - Got a room towards the parking lot looking (literally) into a woman from another residence’s window. Well, we didn’t expect the best view as we booked the classic room, so fair enough. But when we tried to use the little terrace, she angrily told us that the hotel was built too close to her building. We didn’t feel comfortable using the terrace because of this but no understanding from the receptionist. She just told us to ignore her - not very good problem solving. - Right next to a big noisy road. - All in all, we actually gave them a fair chance to solve the problems during our stay but they did not provide the service. Otherwise, the room was as expected so that’s why we give 2 stars.
