I asked for the shrimp tacos (3) they were really good and encourage you to try them you wont regret it As main dish a asked for the Torito a cheese steak & egg hamburguer let me tell you it was BIG. It came with french fries they were ok. I have stayed in the hostel before and its a really nice ambient nice people clean rooms and batchrooms you get your own big locker and for what you get and the location is a no brainer.

Adra Hostel is one of the most beautiful hostels I've ever stayed in. It has a gorgeous courtyard, a rooftop that you can see volcano eruptions from, delicious food, comfy solid beds and they helped me book a great cheap Acatenango tour. Try the margaritas!!!! Will be back!
Great spot in Antigua

I had a great time at Adra. I stayed at a shared room. Both the shared room and bathroom are super clean, pillows are confortable and they provide a nicely sized locked storage space (fits a large back-back) The shower is great (hot/cold water). There was a great live concert one of the evenings I stayed and the next day they had a pretty cool DJ. Food is delicious and fairly priced. I definitely recommend it.
Stay at the Adra and feel part of the family

Me and my friends planned to stay here just a few nights. We ended up staying for over two weeks! The staff at this hostel are absolutely amazing and the owners are the most kind and comforting people! The staff treat you like family and nothing is too much to ask! Brenda the receptionist is such an amazing woman, she helped me with an allergic reaction I had out one day, she also gave brilliant advice about the local area and helped me with my Spanish! A special shout out to all of the kitchen staff especially Carlos, Will and Cristobal! Amazing men who will always go the extra mile. A huge shout out to Enrique the bar man! This guy makes the best cocktails in the whole of Antigua and the drinks at Adra are so cheap too! Now I've spoken about the staff, let me give you a rundown of the hostel. I have been travelling Central America for 6 months and personally this has been my favourite hostel that I have stayed at! The owners strive to be an eco friendly hostel therefore most of the decorations and general design is very natural and stunning! The roof terrace has an excellent view of the volcanos. The hostel has private rooms and two dorms. One dorm is 24 bed, the other is 18 bed. Don't let this put you off. The beds are one of the comfiest beds I have stayed in during my travels and the lovely cleaning ladies make your bed every day 😍🥺 let me just reiterate one more time, the staff will do anything to help you and whatever you need! There is a lovely common area in the centre of the hostel with a very cosy fire which we spent the majority of our nights! The hostel was very safe and secure. The hostel also provides a traditional Guatemalan breakfast with a night stay which is lovely. This brings me on to the Calista restaurant. A very highly rated restaurant in Antigua and if you eat here it's very easy to see why! The food is made from fresh local products and has excellent options. They are known for their tasty burgers along with super salads and great chevice! The adra hostel has been such an amazing part of my travel experience and I have so much love for all of the staff at Adra. Please stay here you will not be disappointed X

I stayed in Adra Hostel for almost a week. The staff was wonderful and walked the extra mile to accommodate my vegan diet and to help me with specific things I needed. The food was excellent, healthy, authentic. The WiFi works great and the location of the hostel couldn’t be better. I love that no plastic bottles are used but instead, complimentary filtered water is available. I also loved that Adra Hostel is a dog-friendly venue! My only recommendation would be to reinforce the non-smoking policy in the areas close to the bedrooms. Perhaps just allow customers to smoke at the terrace? Overall a great experience! Congratulations Adra Hostel. ***Special thanks to Claudia, Bartolomé and Ronald!
