I’m a nightshift nurse at UAMS. I work anywhere from 10-14-hour shifts and I have an hour commute each way, so I’ve stayed here a few times over the past few months. It’s a little loud during the day and the rooms are not the absolute cleanest, but overall it’s okay for the price and it’s a convenient location. All of a sudden, though, they won’t let me make a reservation. I called yesterday morning and the lady who answered politely told me to call back closer to check-in time to make sure they had a room. So I did. The lady I talked to this time told me I’d have to call back in the morning (right at the time I’d need to be checking in) because it ‘wasn’t her job to make that decision.’ I explained that I’ve stayed there several times and it’s never been an issue. I told her I was a night shift nurse at UAMS, and she replied, “well, that’s cool and all, but I don’t know what to tell you.” If she would have said something like, oh, I’m sorry, I really don’t know…call this number at this time and we can figure this out for you…..that would have been fine. But I really could have done without the attitude. Won’t be staying there again, and I will be actively not recommending it to fellow staff and travelers at UAMS.
Stay somewhere else! The do not appreciate guest here!!!!

My name is Mel Carroll and I am a senior citizen. I have stayed at your hotel at least 20 times in the past 24 months . I usually check in after 5 pm since I am traveling from Louisiana. I am taking a very aggressive chemotherapy at UAMS Medical Center located right by the hotel. The day I checked out, I asked the front desk lady if I could stay 30 more minutes after the checking out time since one of my appointments was delayed and I was feeling pretty weak to wait at the hospital. She said no very rudely. I asked to talk to the manager on duty and after she explained they had to charge another day if I needed to stay 30 more minutes. I asked her if she could make an exemption since I was not feeling well and all I wanted to do was to rest for a few more minutes. She said, NO, I can't let you do that. Her attitude was not friendly at all, especially when she works in the hospitality industry. To be clear, she was pretty rude. I decided to write this review to prevent people from being treated rudely and unfairly. You would think a hotel with a "good"prestige, an economy so hurt by COVID, and the customers having so many options out there to pick up from, management would make sure their customers leave their premises happily. Especially when the guest is a consistent client. In the hospitality industry, it’s essential to know as much about your guests as you can. Having this property right by the hospital, owners should be very careful who they hire since they mostly have to deal with convalescents and their families. Don't you think compassion and kindness brings more business. Maybe I am wrong and your policy to be successful is to be unconsidered and rude. Thank you!
Incredibly difficult to work with

I have stayed at this hotel two previous times with no incidences. This stay required me to interact with the manager, Tineesha. She was INCREDIBLY difficult to communicate with. She wanted only to hear herself talk and would not allow me to speak. Whenever I tried to speak, she would jump in and talk more, repeating herself over and over. Even after making a point to acknowledge what she was saying, so she would know I had heard her, she would not allow me to expound on my situation. VERY disappointed. I will not be staying here again.

We reserved two rooms because my dad had to report for surgery at 5am. The rooms are old and in very poor condition. We stayed there about 5 years ago and I could have given it a 3/5. It gets a 1/5 because the mattress was worn out and the rooms were old and dated. Dirty lamps, spots on ceiling and dirt on walls. Do not stay here.
Stay somewhere else

I realize this is a cheap hotel but it’s bad. I was too tired to leave so I just slept in my clothes. No toilet paper. Mold in bathroom. Smelled like cigarettes. Crumbling ceiling and walls. Pictures don’t even begin to show enough. Needs remodel bad. No hand soap. No shower gel or soap in wall dispensers. Staff was nice and I feel just stuck under bad ownership
