Hotel lacks many services and guests cannot change the temperature in the rooms

Reviewed 30 november, 2021

1. No restaurant. If you arrive in the evening you will have no food. The front desk will send you to the bar, which closes at 10. Even if you get to the bar before they close, they will inform you that they are in the process of “changing out their menu” and therefore most offerings are not available. 2. Room is very cold and thermostat doesn’t fix it. I suffered through the first night of freezing temperatures in my room and finally called the mechanic in on the second night. Apparently the temperature is not controlled by the thermostats in the room, even if the numbers change when you try to press the buttons. The mechanic tried to fix it but still no temperature change- still freezing and getting colder as the night wears on. 3. No one to answer the phone. Actively trying to call the front desk to see if I can get the mechanic up again to change the temperature. Called 3 times with no answer. There are more annoyances at this hotel but these are the most frustrating right now. I paid nearly $200 a night to be cold and hungry- could have stayed out on the street and at least people would have given me a few dollars for the trouble! Please stop using COVID as an excuse for poor service and upkeep.

All was... ok

First off the staff were amazing, kind, friendly, professional as good as we have had anywhere. The room was very nice with a nice view. The entire place was clean and well maintained. As to service level it was all good. Closeness to the Metro was a bonus, nearby quick eats within walking distance was good too. So its not with malice I say the following. The parking situation was horrible. No valet service so we self-parked. The parking garage was on one level, elevator to the main floor then an elevator to the reception lobby on the 4th floor then another elevator to out room floor. It just wears you out traveling up to the room or down to the parking garage daily. On tow separate occasions we had been out from 8AM to 4PM only to come back to find out room had not been cleaned or housekeeping done. The inhouse restaurant we did try, it was meh ok.... everything moved at a snails pace, I think the cook could only do one table at a time. Would we stay here again.... not sure again the staff was amazing but, does that sway the other things wrong here.... not sure.. you decide..

My family members stayed for two night, we had 3 rooms rented for The staff were very friendly, especially Douglas stood out the most among all amazing staffs. He provided amazing service at the b’fast bar and made sure hisCourteous youngest guest(9 months old) was taken care of. We stayed during the Halloween weekend, love the view and the b’fast menu at the hotel. Thank you Douglas for your outstanding hospitality. with gratitude, Rahman family.

The bartender Zaheer at the bar at Amuse was amazing! Extremely friendly and make us feel very welcome. We got some happy hour drinks and a few shots, and he was very acccomodating. Will definitely be back!

First time with this Brand

I'm lifetime Gold with Marriott, but have never stayed at a Le Meridien before, so I was excited to give this a try. The hotel is in a beautiful tower, but it shares the space with condos, and it looks like the owners have the highest floors. I was upgraded to a nicer room that came with a free breakfast, but no concierge lounge (not sure of they had one). The room was nice complete with a soaking tub/shower combo. Decor was trendy. No real view to speak of. I chose the hotel because of the location close to DCA - its less than 10 minutes away. I wouldn't stay here as a base for Washington DC. Too far away from the action. Parking is reasonable - anywhere from $15 to $30 per night depending on the day of the week and when you get there. Staff was excellent. Professional, courteous and efficient. The exercise room looks ot be shared with the condos, so its definitely on the nicer side. Lots of machines and cardio equipment to choose from. Bar and restaurant looked nice, but I didn't eat or drink there.
