Looked after us.....
An urgent trip necessitated a last minute stay at Armagh City hotel. They could not have looked after us any better during these challenging times. Excellent COVID protocols meant we felt safe throughout our stay. Big shout out to Lisa on the front desk who played a blinder after our booking was cancelled by the online provider. Also Diana, I think, at breakfast. Some of the best, most genuine hotel staff I’ve met having traveled the globe. Great to see my old “home town” batting above the average. Happy Xmas guys.
Customer service
I visit Armagh city Hotel occasionally for a meal. Usually the service is a fairly high standard. We visited the hotel today for a light snack . Quite frankly was offended by attitude and remarks by a member of staff. Doutful if we will ever go back here
Already looking forward to our next visit
We prefer small hotels but this one would almost change our minds! In this time of the Covid virus we hesitated about making our visit but were assured on the phone by a reassuring receptionist that all was good. And it was. The hotel has taken serious measures to protect staff and visitors. Each bedroom is given a deep and thorough clean after each occupancy. The room and bathroom were both excellent. The breakfast was really good and the evening meals were great for me (steak on the first night, roast chicken on the second). My wife had the chicken Maryland but found it rather dry. Needed a sauce. Due to the virus I did not use the leisure centre. Overall, a lovely experience and a lovely city to visit.
A perfect break in weird times.
We were supposed to go to Donegal but it was closed much to my wifes annoyance. We go every year for our anniversary. Last minute we booked Armagh. I though why not. I don't know it. I wasn't expecting much from the hotel but it was above and beyond my lowly expectations. It excelled in fact. Room spotless. Staff lovely. Dinner that was included in our deal hit the spot. Breakfast was tasty too. It was all very different. We've had a few disappointments with time away and we've worked all the way through this. It was a well deserved break. Armagh and the Armagh City Hotel have soothed two stressed souls and although I knew nothing about Armagh, I'm intrigued enough to return. The hotel had a buzz about it but I'm sure in normal times it would be very different and I'd like to experience it. Well done and thanks for a lovely weekend. We're super chilled now.
Fantastic as usual
We have stayed in Armagh City a few times now and it still impresses us especially the newly refurbished rooms. They are def worth the money. Decor beautiful and the walk in shower was amazing. Was nervous going as this has been the only place we ventured to in this crazy world we in this year but the hotel has implemented all neccessary procedures. Had dinner and cocktails in the restaurant and was beautiful. Our son didn't want to check out will hopefully make it back at Christmas for 2 nights
