Good place: Waitresses with an attitude

Opinión escrita el 7 de agosto de 2017

I visited this Hotel on August 5th for breakfast before I could set off for my journey. The waitress came and check on me and my partner. She gave us very scanty details about what they had in the kitchen. (The prices she quoted seemed guesses) -- A pair of sausages were quoted for Sh. 5000. We asked her to ask in the kitchen to confirm. She said "ok" and never returned. We went to the reception and there was no one. We sat there for thirty minutes with no one coming to our service. We left ....

Clean-Quiet Place with a very nice Garden

Opinión escrita el 15 de novembre de 2016

Service is okay. Food is alright. Rooms are a bit small(and in cases the bathroom is just opposite the main room) but they are really clean and so is the linen. Gardens are great. What they lack in facilities is more than made up by the cleanliness and quiet. I found the place after 3 days in various parts of Northern Uganda where the biggest issue was almost always accommodation( so that could affect my assessment ) . But I think would not look elsewhere next time I am in Arua.

Good

Opinión escrita el 2 de febrero de 2014

The first thing that struck me about hotels in Arua, is that they are more expensive than in other rural Ugandan cities. I visited three of them: Desert Breeze Hotel was the most expensive and badly overpriced. Their internet doesn't reach the rooms, the terrace door of my room was not closing properly (making noise all night) and they started mowing the lawn at 8 o clock on Sunday morning. At 82.000 for a single, Desert Breeze is not a good choice. On my way to Slumberland I stopped at a motel close to Desert Breeze. The place looked adequate and at 26.000 it seemed a good place for those on a budget. I finally ended up in Slumberland. A "no frills" place, but good without any complaints. At 60.000 for a single the price is good too.

best place to stay in Arua

Opinión escrita el 5 de mayo de 2013

This hotel is by far the best accomodation in the northern corner of Uganda. The staff are friendly, helpful, polite and made our stay wonderful. I was there on a business type of trip as we were conducting teacher training workshops. The hotel has a wonderful conference area which doubles as their normal dining room. They also catered our 2 days of workshops and the local food was delicious. The rooms are clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced. I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 nights in this lovely hotel.
