Amazing place to stay in Asheville

Reviewed 3 january, 2021

My wife and I have been to the Bunn House several times and it never disappoints. On our most recent stay, we again had a wonderful time. It's a beautiful house, and clean. Very luxurious, with comfortable beds, heated bathroom floors, steam showers and a timeless aesthetic to the entire property. Also available is an outdoor fireplace, which is a perfect way to stay warm on a cold Asheville night.

Great hideaway just outside the downtown area

We stayed for two nights and had a great time. We are always looking for clean, well kept places to stay but this exceeded our expectations even in today’s environment. My wife said “they thought of everything!” Perfect location, private rooms, easy booking and arrival directions made for a vacation to remember. This place beats staying in a typical hotel any day. Very happy we chose the Bunn House and will be coming back soon. T&T

Well maintained, beautiful grounds, well appointed rooms.

I spent several days at the Bunn House in Asheville, NC. I stayed in the King suite which includes kitchen facilities. The room was spacious and beautiful with a separate sleeping area. The King size bed was very comfortable. It was nice to be able to prepare meals in light of the current Covid environment. Outside the house are tables for outdoor seating, as well as an observation deck on top of the house, perfect for Sunrise and Sunset viewing. Next time I'll ask how to turn off the lights for star viewing as well. An added benefit were the Tesla destination chargers, a must for any hotel or BNB that I stay at.

Really nice place

I am a 74 year old American traveling with his wife, daugter and her fiance. We rented 2 room upstairs and stayed 5 nights. The rooms are somewhat on the small side but VERY well appointed. Modern, high class features like a steamer in the shower. Good lighting, strong WIFI, good selection of TV stations on a nice sized TV. The outdoor fire place is very nice. It is set up ready for a fire with extra fire wood. We sat our there with a fire and played cribbage on several of the nights. There is overhead strings of lights by which you can see well enough to play games if you want. The fridge is stocked with complementary drinks like coke, diet coke, pelligrino water, flavored waters and so on. You can also choose form a selection of drinks from the fridge in the lobby area. There are ample wine glasses, cups, and drinking glasses in the room with plates and silverware in the lobby. Corkscrew, coffee maker that uses pods and ample pods with a good variety, and a cabinet with robes are all in the room. The shower has a steam system and a nice seat that is very convenient. There was a nice balcony in both room that is nice for sitting on in the evening. There is some considerable road noise from the nearby I40 freeway. Sanitizer in the lobby along with masks. The room has a container of Lysol wipes that kill both bacteria AND VIRUSES. This is an especially nice touch. Its hard to find these in the stores these days. One oddity. The rooms, stairs and hallways all have what seem to be real wood floors. What is odd is that none of them had a single creak in them. Never seen that before and meant to ask the owner how they managed that. The room is within easy walking distance to all the downtown shops and restaurants. A five minute drive to the Biltmore. There is a Whole Foods and a Trader Joes just 3 blocks away. A few suggestions that should not be seen as criticisms in any way. The nice gardens hove some large grassy areas that would be perfect for a bocci ball court. The bathroom could benefit from a hook or 2 for towels and also from some sort of shelf or table to put toiletries on. The small night stands on each side of the king size bed could be a little larger and would benefit from having drawers.

Excellent stay

We enjoyed every aspect of the Bunn House. Extremely clean and comfortable suite with a full kitchen and sitting area. Very convenient: short walk to downtown, close to arts district and hiking off the blue ridge parkway. We would definitely stay there again.
