we checked into a room that looks like it wasn't even cleaned. There was rolo candies all over the floor, the hand towels had chocolate on them, headboards had dried chocolate on them and folded back on the rack. The fridge also had old milk and microwavable food items left inside. We told front desk they laughed and said we can give you a bag or we can come get them? she ended up getting them. The floor didn't look like it was vacuumed. I tried getting ahold of the manager but refused my call and told me to call 3rd party or send an email. What kind of service is this? I will not take my family here again. thanks for the inconvenience.

Honestly, I typically stay on one hotel only in Astoria, but it was being renovated while I was in town, so I chose this Comfort Suites for this trip. It was actually a great place to stay, and my daughter and I enjoyed ourselves greatly. We had a large and very clean room which overlooked the Columbia River. We were happy to discover that we could hear the sea lions when we opened the window (they hang out off a pier going out into the river). We didn't use many of the amenities of the hotel itself. However, it sits right on a walking/bike path that runs the length of Astoria. As we're both big walkers, we enjoyed walking into town to shop, have a drink, and then have a later dinner. People were friendly and we had a great time walking along the river. I'd stay here again, as it ended up being a really cool and clean hotel.

Great experience. Quiet and river view, I can’t complain. Seeing the ships out the window was amazing. Hearing the Sea Lions was a bonus. The ships light up at night and were incredibly cool to have out our window. The staff was beyond friendly. Again, no complaints.
Very Comfortable Room

Well appointed rooms, clean with everything available through a top GM and cleaning team. And, they even had TCM on cable! Plenty of parking and next to Safeway. River view rooms are relaxing but be sure to order rooms in the south portion of the building if you don't want to hear sea lions. Best location in Astoria.
A great place to stay

I had a great stay at his hotel 4 years ago & I recently had another great stay. My room was spacious, clean & comfortable. The wi-fi was fast. The pool & hot tub were refreshing & the full hot breakfast was tasty & filling. The city dock is next to the hotel & several sea lions stay at the dock. You can hear them from your room. While it is expensive to stay there, I think that you get your money's worth. The next time I am in Astoria I will stay here again.
