Lovely visit to a lovely hotel

From the moment we entered the hotel to the moment we left, it was a fabulous stay. They were more than happy to help us with anything we needed. The service was great as was the location. Our rate included breakfast which was outstanding. The restaurant with the view of the acropolis had delicious breakfast dishes and lovely dinners as well. We would definitely stay there again when coming back to Athens. Highly recommend.
Top Notch Property, Staff

From check-in, to check-out, the Grande Bretagne excels in it's physical spaces and effacious Staff. We stayed using points and were lucky to have our SNAs kick in which offered us an upgrade to a Grand Suite. While we weren't on the Acropolis side, our Terrace was perfecto for cozying up in robes for an evening cocktail with a view of Lycabettus. Added bonus that Marriott (whatever, as a half Frenchman I think Bonvoy is kinda dorky...pardonne moi) site did not post is that the shower I had in our suite was a Steam Shower as well. Perfect for post work out sweat....Fitness Room was on demand/reservation to limit capacity and a front desk/concierge person met me at door to let me in. First fitness room in a hotel that had plexi dividers between cardio equipment! Ok, so work out and shvritz is done, DO the breakfast. Forgo the Marriott points and indulge from well appointed buffet that is assisted by attendants serving the dishes but B-fast with a view of the A-crop also includes a la carte items and i'll be doggone if the scrambled eggs & salmon wasn't divine. Also, you cannot beat location...quick "volta" to Psirri, Plaka, Kolonaki...DO head to rooftop for uber pricey cocktails designed to keep the riff raff out but also curated by care and I was pleasantly surprised by the Tiki slanted offerings that were top notch. Having been born, raised in this City, I've walked by it a hundred times but now know that they are putting the "Grand" in Grande Bretagne.

We had the pleasure to stay here for a few days and thank god we did! Super location with superb service, well trained staff who will make you feel like a royalty from your arrival, George the doorman, Apostolos and his team at the Concierge desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone made us feel welcomed and special. Rooftop is a perfect spot for a nice dinner with a view of the Acropolis. We will be back for sure!!!
Pricey but worth it

A lovely hotel right on Syntagma Square and walking distance to all the main sights. Not cheap but you get what you pay for, and even if you aren’t staying a lovely bar/restaurant on the top floor with views of the Acropolis. Would happily stay again.
A beautiful hotel!

A beautiful hotel that used to be a very large mansion that belonged to an ambassador. At the roof restaurant you can enjoy a nice view of The Areopagus . Located in front of a big Square were locals go to enjoy their free time. Also walking distance to monuments an the Plaka area.
