Not a bit fair !

Reviewed 19 july, 2022

Liars and Cheats ! , we booked and paid for our two rooms before Covid … anyway we could not take the trip , instead of refund we agreed to using the rooms some time in the future, when we got to go we went to the hotel ( stayed 1 night) and asked about our refund the receptionist did not know anything about it , we asked her to have it sorted. Anyway some months later we again contacted the hotel and guess what the refund had expired a couple of weeks before!!! , we explained that we had been there in February and asked about the outstanding booking … but we’re told that we could not expect the hotel to have an opened ended policy, which I kind of get ! , but we are still in the pandemic stage and we were at the hotel a few months before and had we been told we would have asked for the booking to be extended…not even so much as a 50% offer …not fair over 700 euros down the drain

Good location. And that's all...

Reviewed 10 december, 2019

Stayed in this hotel 3 nights in the room at 2nd floor. Room itself is big enough, but really uncomfortable. There is no wardrobe, first of all. Probably it's a very stylish to have a rope with some hangers instead of cupboard, but, personally, I was not happy with it(photo attached). Another problem is hot water. You have to push a special button to activate the boiler, and after 20 minutes approximately, you will be able to enjoy hot shower. I didn't have such time in the morning, that's why used cold water only for shaving and other needs. They served breakfast at another building just opposite Lotus Inn, but you need to cross the street. May be it's good at summer time, but is not convenient at other seasons. I do not mentioned that it's a very noisy at the street in the evening and at night and you can hear everything in your room as well. Room is not isolated well. Good things are the following: very central location, close to all Athens attractions, nice streets and reastaurants. Metro station is in 5 minutes distance from the hotel. Breakfast is quite acceptable as well. Unfortunately the overall balance between good and bad things is negative

Beautiful and extremely comfy hotel

Reviewed 29 october, 2019

We stayed here in October, a few days away from the worsening autumn weather in the U.K. the hotel is extremely easy to get to as it’s on the metro line directly from the airport for only €10. A 2 minute walk from the Monastiraki station. The rooms are very neat, tidy and stylish, we had an amazing view from our window of the Parthenon and the Acropolis. The beds are all coco mat, which are ridiculously comfortable I’ve never slept so well on any other Hotel bed. The bathrooms are very modern and tidy with a multi jet shower and huge sink. People have complained about the hot water, you do have to press a button to make sure you have hot water, but like we have back in the U.K. the water stays hot for a long time and means you don’t waste energy heating water that people are not using, like in normal hotels. The hotel is in the heart of Athens, there is a large shopping area 5 minutes up the road, there are a large number of restaurants nearby and there is a large flea market nearby. The breakfast in the hotel is in the hotel restaurant which is across the street. Also in the shadow of the acropolis, so you can dine and see the sights of the city. The breakfast was very good, lots of selection and fresh each day. Heading out you are only 10 minute walk from the acropolis, 15 minute walk from the temple of Zeus and the whole area is littered with interesting ruins. We fell in love with Athens while we where there and if we go back we would definitely choose this hotel again. A big thank you to the staff who could not do enough to make our stay special, they could not do enough to help when asked. The only thing I would say negatively about the hotel was the lights on the window which lit the hotel from the outside and did look good but made the rooms too bright at night and the curtains did not block the light out because the way they where hung meant they had big gaps either side. Stay here, you won’t regret it.

Interesting area, great hotel, amazing view

Reviewed 21 october, 2019

We booked through LastMinute.com and took a bit of a chance (having seen mostly good reviews)! The hotel and staff were amazing, breakfast was different (and delicious) every day. Looking out of the window the Acropolis was in full view (and well illuminated at night). The street below is very busy, but the double glazing does a really good job and we couldn’t hear very much at all. Despite some of the other reviews, the air conditioning worked amazingly (and was much needed as we went in a 30C surprise autumn heatwave) and kept the room nicely cool, without being noisy. We found the staff professional and friendly, and we would gladly visit again (next time to try out the junior suite).

was not a good experience

Good location but so many negative things to keep in mind: There is no cupboard in the room to hang your clothes, they places a funny rope from the ceiling with some hangers. The restaurant is good located on roof but the breakfast is poor and it is not worth it. The restaurant closes at 10 am so during the day and the evening the hotel has no place to have a cup of coffee or a drink. There is no hot water in the room you need to wait at least 20 min every time you want to shower. Staff are passive, helpless and making zero effort to sort any issue. I stayed 4 nights without safe-box no one asked even to repair, I asked twice and the only answers I got were wrong instructions on how to fix it. I needed to take the risk and keep my passport in the room during the day. Finally the rooms are not well isolated, you hear the noise of the restaurants and street during the night and it is very busy area.
