Hampton Inn Atlanta-Georgia Tech-Downtown

I like the location of the hotel, it was walking distance to the Georgia Aquarium and World of Coca Cola. However, the noise from the street and people walking by was quite distracting. The price was good and breakfast was decent even though there was not the usual hot breakfast. The staff was welcoming.

My friend & I stayed over Monday night, and checked out Tuesday morning. The room itself was great, with the exception of finding a flip flop in the corner, the bathroom not having a fan to let out the steam from the shower, and the cable being spotty. Prior to checking in, we had a tough time with parking as the parking garage is very small and very narrow. They also don't tell you when you book that parking in their lot is $20, added onto the room upon checking in. Once we were parked and headed into the hotel to check in, a man was lurking around trying to get into the hotel. Sawyer (I think that was her name, I could be wrong) at the front desk around 12AM did a great job telling the man to leave & threatening to call the cops on him as he had previously tried to get in (according to her). He eventually left and we were able to check in, but he snuck back in and got on the elevator with us. We got off on our floor and immediately went in the opposite way of our room, and he stayed on the elevator. After settling into our room, we called down to the front desk to ask if they had drinks we could charge to the room and to make sure the man had left and it was safe to come down. Sawyer told us that she had the police looking for him so we should be fine, so with that we went down with no problems, until we tried to go back up. He followed us onto the elevator again, and this time got out on our floor with us and followed us (thank god we went the opposite way of our room again). We got away from him by ducking into the staircase, but as we made our way down the front desk to tell Sawyer & the cops where he was, a women came off the elevator saying he had used the stairs to get to the 3rd floor, (we were on the 2nd floor), so he was trying to follow us, my guess is that he thought we would go up & not down. He ended up coming down the elevator and tried getting back on once he spotted Sawyer & the cops, but the cops ended up getting him. The rest of the trip was great & the hotel staff was awesome, but it was definitely a very scary experience, for 2 23 year old women, our first time in Atlanta. If you stay here, try to get their early in the evening (daytime) to avoid this kind of event. Otherwise, our time in Atlanta was awesome, definitely check out the aquarium/coke museum, this hotel was very close & convenient!

Located in the perfect spot. Wasn’t far from fast food, stores and attractions. Parking is a little tight and is $20 a night but they do have a guy who watches the parking garage all night so that is a plus! Will stay again. Friendly service. Clean rooms.

Everyone is so nice and welcoming! Especially the young guy who worked nights Saturday to Tuesday! He has short blonde hair is just so sweet! He was very helpful when me and my fiancé were booking the hotel!

Everything was great. The staff was very professional from the time of arrival until departure. The shuttle service provided made things so convenient, as I didn't have to drive my car the entire time there. Loved it!!
