A sad Hotel and City in decline, Desperately clinging on to an existence.

Reviewed 19 september, 2022

Desperate is the best way to describe the Hotel and the whole feeling, of where Atlantic City is and is going. A really tired Hotel, $200+ a night and not even a bottle of water, shampoo or other toiletries and no servicing of the room over 2 nights. There is a real feeling of Sadness at the empty properties, the closed down shops and poor quality of those that are open. There is clearly a struggle to find minimum wage employees, with gaps throughout. It is a poor version of Las Vegas as a Hotel and as a resort.

dirty dusty moldy room, grime, filth, disgusting. Unacceptable!

Atlantic City, room 661 Aug 28-Aug 30. My parents stayed here to celebrate my father's birthday. My Mother gave me the ok to leave this review, I have plenty of pictures to show. mold, dirt, dust, grime, and filth along the toilet paper holder, crown molding, behind toilet, the air vent, light fixture, towel rack, towel shelf, tub, shower, behind the toilet, table, bottom of fridge. carpet smelled, table. The room appear to not have been cleaned in weeks. This triggered her asthma and had to go to the ED for treatment. My mother is an independent housekeeper with private clients, she was appalled to see how this room was not cleaned. Needless to say Covid did not go away and Flu season is upon us. Each room should be thoroughly cleaned. I am embarrassed for the work of the Housekeeping Staff this doesn’t show quality Housekeeping. Customer’s pay to stay and enjoy themselves and that includes a clean and fresh hotel room. My parents always enjoy their stay with Bally's, but now she had to find another hotel to celebrate her birthday. Since her asthma attack she had to cancel her trip back to Atlantic City. This room looked and felt used to my parents, so many people have occupied this room. This room should have been cleaned from Top to Bottom. This doesn’t look like a room that was inspected by the Supervisor, because if it was, I am sure the room would have looked and smelled differently. The room doesn’t appear to be up to Bally’s standards and policies. Whomever was in charged of this room failed the standard of cleanliness. My mother pack her own wipes and black light to inspect and clean. The bed was nice and clean(black light inspection) a bit of advice below for housekeeping management. Dusting: Dust all surfaces, starting from the top and working your way down towards the floor. Don’t forget to dust any hard-to-reach or easy to miss areas, like light fittings, head boards, under the bed, or the top of wardrobes and cupboards. An extendable telescopic duster can be a very handy tool if your hotel has high ceilings! Clean surfaces: Clean and sanitize all surfaces Sanitize and dust electricals Clean the floor Deep clean carpets using a steam carpet cleaner. Clean the shower and/or bath area lass surfaces, tiling, and chrome shower fittings and taps should be cleaned using a specialist bathroom surface cleaner or glass cleaner to remove water marks and soap scum to create a shiny ‘brand new’ appearance. Pay special attention to the drain and be very careful to remove any hairs. If there is any standing water in the shower, report this to the floor supervisor, as it may indicate a more serious problem with the drain. Clean the toilet: The toilet should be thoroughly cleaned using a toilet disinfectant, and bleach should be applied and then flushed away. Pay close attention to underneath the rim and around the joints of the seat where grime and limescale can build up. Toilet freshening devices can be fitted to provide long lasting freshness. When finished, lower the seat and close the lid. Clean the sink area and taps: Using an antibacterial bathroom cleaner and a cloth, wipe the sink and surrounding countertop. Clean the taps thoroughly to remove any water stains and provide a shiny finish. Wipe the mirror, being careful not to leave streaks or smears. Ensure the plughole is completely clear. Dust: Dust light fittings and the corners of the ceiling to remove any cobwebs or dust, and clean behind and underneath towel rails and radiators. If any pipes are visible — behind the toilet or under the sink, for example — ensure that these are dusted. Wipe the towel rail: This can accrue a surprising amount of dust and dirt, so don’t forget to wipe it clean

The Mid-A.C. Boardwalk Has Died

Reviewed 17 september, 2022

A rough two-night stay in which we didn't get the casino host-promised king bed (though bait-and-switched at check-in to pay $100 more per night for it, which I declined). A view of nothing--our side window was completely taped with privacy-blackout film. Stuck in a dark elevator trying to bring morning coffee upstairs, likely a symptom of all the annoying construction and renovations going on where they should not be allowing guests to stay until finished. Too many restaurants and stores closed to customers mid-week. It's no wonder there are $39-a-night offers that can be found online for even non-gamblers at this onetime wonderful, now decrepit, mid-Boardwalk casino-hotel. Are Borgata and The Trop the only decent places left to stay in A.C.?

Hotel is basic - too expensive for what you get. No coffee maker in the room. Nothing special at all. They coral reef bar had a great DJ for us OGs. I am not into gambling so…. I probably won’t return to AC.
