Overcharge on bill

I stayed here for a family wedding and was charged for two nights vs one. I had called and changed my reservation prior but now they say I did not. Hotel conditions were wonderful I just don’t appreciate being told I am lying and I am quite surprised at the hotels staff to have absolutely no desire/ability to fix my bill.
Hotel Staff Non-Compliant with IHG Advertised COVID Policies
Reviewed 4 january, 2021
If you are taking COVID-19 precautions seriously but still need to travel, I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I previously had a good stay at this property in 2019, and I booked here again because of that previous experience and the IHG advertised COVID-19 precautions, which included that all individuals must wear masks in the common areas. I was shocked when I checked in to see that none of the front desk staff were wearing masks, despite the multiple signs on the front door and throughout the property indicating that masks are required. This wasn't an isolated incident with the evening shift, as the next morning I noticed that housekeeping staff, and the morning front desk staff were also not wearing masks. In fact, I did not see a single staff member wearing a mask, or even have a mask anywhere nearby. The lack of adherence to policy by staff set a bad example for guests, many of whom were also not wearing masks. Ultimately, this failure to adhere to advertised policies is disappointing and is false advertising. Had we known that the staff did not wear masks while in public spaces, we would have chosen another hotel. We also asked for a room that was unoccupied for at least 24 hours. The only reason why we were able to get one is because we were informed by the front desk employee the day we checked in, therefore none of the rooms from the night before were cleaned, so we received a room that was vacant the night before. The lack of housekeeping presence was also concerning given the pandemic situation, so even if our individual room was clean because it was unused, it's unclear if common areas were cleaned thoroughly.
Would Not Recommend

Hotel is newer and nice on the surface. Rooms are nice in size and appointments. Noted day of arrival that only 1 of 2 phones in the room worked. Pointed out to front desk that we had no body wash. These issues were not resolved after 2 night stay. Trust and safety are a big issue here. Authorities had to be called due to missing article from our room. Not the first time they had been called to Staybridge on Opdyke in Auburn Hills we were told. Article was returned the following day but there was a clear intent to deceive us on the truth around the missing package. Would definitely not recommend staying at this hotel to anyone. We will return to Auburn Hills but at a safer hotel for our future stay.

This is the first time that it happened to me. I’ve been traveling for years and never a hotel charged me 2 weeks before to my credit card the room. I checked with my companies how was made the reservation and it was normal as usual. But they didn’t give me pack the money and the they I arrived they don’t even wanted to give me a proper receipt I find know why. I needed to wait until I left the hotel 3 days before to get it. Please make sure to take care more detailed with this situations.
Home Away from Home

I have stayed at most if not all of the Opdyke hotels. This is my new home away from home. I stay at this hotel about 5-6 nights a month and have NEVER had anything, but an outstanding stay. Tina, Dorian, and Michael are the best at customer service I have ever seen at a hotel. The place is quiet as a tomb, the breakfast is excellent, and the workout room and pool are nice.
