We stayed here for a family event in the area. Did self check in with no issues. Room was very nice. A/C and heater worked well. Very hot water. Bed was too hard for me, but that’s a personal preference. Best thing here is the restaurant/bar. At check in, we got a single complimentary drink at the bar so that’s where we went for dinner. Some good ‘ol bar food. So we thought. Much to our surprise, it was anything but bar food. They had a menus that has a lot of healthy to not so healthy options. And the portions were huge. We had the wings, chicken tortilla soup and power bowl. Everything was excellent and we had plenty left overs for another meal. So the next morning we went back for breakfast as we each had a $20 breakfast voucher. We didn’t learn from the night before and had another huge box of to-go food. Hint: consider splitting plates. You can always order more. Chef Dan has done some amazing things with the menu. Check them out.

Big hotel that is convenient to travel and nearby restaurants within walking distance. Greeted by friendly staff an recognized for being a Hilton Honors member. Great breakfast served in the morning. Clean and comfortable rooms. Big hotel!

Wonderful Staff that helped me with the death of my mother !

Victor, Will, Becky, Jonetta, Dory and Rebecca and Faye took such good care of me during my recent 4-night stay at the DoubleTree on the Interstate here in Austin, Texas. I flew in from Michigan and I was staying here because I needed a place to rest and freshen up after visiting my mother, Vivienne Mauricio, at Dell Seton Medical Center across the highway. My mother had a massive stroke on Tuesday of this week. I arrived the next evening from Detroit, spent one night at the hospital and then checked in at DoubleTree the following day. I was greeted by Dory and Victor and they made me feel like family. I told them about my mother's serious health status and they offered me free cookies and a complimentary breakfast the next morning. My mother's condition worsened over the next two days. She died yesterday at 2:10 pm after being transferred to Austin Hospice's Christopher House. I returned to the hotel after my mother's death and I felt so sad and so lost. Victor and Jonetta talked to me when I came down to buy a Stouffers frozen dinner. They talked to me and tried to cheer me up. I felt blessed . .. I can only tell you that my mother's death devastated me;but, your DoubleTree staff treated me like family: they made sure I had some food to eat and said that they would do anything to help me feel better. My sadness was made more bearable thanks to Jonetta, Victor, Will, Becky and Dora. I don't know how to thank them enough. As I pray for my mother's peaceful transition to heaven, please consider this note as a prayer of thanks to Doubletree Staff Members:Jonetta, Faye Will, Victor, Becky and Dory. I'm going home tomorrow.. and leaving behind my mother .. a sadness that I will need to learn to live with. However, I'm going home knowing that I have 5 new friends who took the time and care and compassion to help one of their guests feel cared for and loved. With all my heart, I thank you all !! Price of hotel is a little for the age but not to bad. Entrance to the parking garage is way to dark. You shouldn’t have to pay to parking if your staying at the hotel. I would expect something like that down town or in Vagas or something but not for this hotel. Over all it was good….room was clean.

Dirty room

Check in was easy and the lady helping me at the counter was really nice. Unfortunately the room was dirty. Stains on the pillow, bobby pins on the floor, bath tub and sink was not wiped down, the plug in the bathroom was loose and didn't seem safe, coffee stains on the dresser by the TV, etc. I won't be staying at this hotel again.
