Prior to our check out on the morning of our departure I had called down to the front desk asking them to please come check room in an effort to expedite the check out time as we were in a hurry. The cleaning lady showed up relatively quickly and let us know that our room was perfect prior to our departure. I head down to the office expecting a quick transition but instead I am treated so incredibly bad that I have since called BBB as well as the police. The trouble begins when the lady at the desk begins to question whether or not I had paid a deposit at all. I was immediately puzzled ? I of course knew that I’d had, and wondered how anyone could have been able to stay without putting a deposit down? But I waited, and waited.... while my important meeting drew closer, I was given the criminal treatment. Questioned and requesting my honesty while I questioned a system that would bring about such problems. The extremely rude lady at the counter said she would need a moment to watch the cameras. I had no choice but to agree. 15 minutes later she arrives from the back room. We both watch the videos where it is clear as day that I pay cash and I count out 2nights plus deposit. After watching I’m handed 80 dollars and told that would be all I’m getting. I was not giving a reason. I was then told never to return as I had begun to protest in my defense. I had been straight up robbed for a measly 20 dollars by the lady working front desk the day of my departure. She refused to give name however my name is Marc chavez. We stayed in in either room 240 or 242 (forget) at the downtown/university super 8 My email is one.mean.vegan.666@gmail.com. I would like this matter to be dealt with as I absolutely plan on returning to speak with the lady this week if I don’t hear back from you. This is unacceptable. Please have a good day.thank you.
$7 Hidden Fee per night/per room
They add about $7 per night to pay for "amenities". It is not disclosed when you book. They slip it into the paper you sign at check in. An honest motel would just add $7 to the room rates if they need this fee. This place quotes a lower rate to get people to book there and then sneaks in another $7 at check in. I did not notice until I got the receipt at check out. Very dishonest business practice. There was also no soap in the room, but the person working the desk provided soap after I walked back down there.

Room looked like it had been robbed (no fridge, iron, dryer ripped from the wall). the tub looked like paint dripped all over it. It also had bb gun holes all in the wall. Lights didn't work, so it was dark and gloomy. Also was charged an extra $7.99 that I wasn't told about.

terrible place, I would not recommend it I can't say enough bad things about this super 8 staff were not helpful, charged more than i expected, ground around were dirty, it is hard to write this as I was not happy with much of this motel
Low quality room for the $100 a night price
If you like to feel unsafe, then stay here. The sheets on one bed were stained, the noise was terrible and breakfast was cold. This is a Bates motel experience, the people next to us were high and the smell was awful. This is a perfect example of keeping Austin weird.
