It was a family trip and everyone had plenty of space in their rooms. A very clean hotel with a convenient location. The hotel staff was very friendly and helped us with whatever we needed. We highly recommend!

We were upgraded and had spacious room with views over the canal .
The beds and linen of high quality and all felt luxurious .
Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice .
Situated in centre of Aveiro and parking opposite hotel which is free at the week end .

This place is like walking back in time to the 1930-40s in a great way! Gorgeous furnishings and art and decor with a lovely check-in desk. Huge rooms, marble bathrooms, views onto the canal and in the middle of everything so you can stroll to shops, restaurants, anything you need.
Very helpful staff there to answer any of our questions even during the world's current health crisis.
Breakfast was wonderful and we loved the hotel's logo on very elegant china.
A must if you get to Aveiro!!

Reviews are correct when rating this hotel. We got exactly what we expected. Nothing to add to existing reviews.
We got lucky and parked in one of 5 hotel spots in front of hotel , and they kept our keys in case the hotel staff needed to move it, but car stayed in exact spot we parked it on.
Driving to hotel was easy enough but through heavy traffic.
Reception was fantastic, excellent English , and offered assistance all the time.
Breakfast was good , and a bit fancy (monogram cutlery, cloth napkin, etc).
Restaurants all over behind hotel and of different class and prices. We were getting way too much food to consume in a single serving, and soon discovered to share plates , or opt for the 2 person meals offered on menus. Some restaurants offered special of the day or a tourist menu that includes starters, main meal, dessert and wine.
This is not a modern style hotel , but more of a character lodging , with touches of class and old style. Carpeted rooms for quietness, but you can hear the water flow through walls, and never got to figure out the heat/ac system. It is a classic older hotel trying to upgrade with the times.
Lovely hotel, great location

My room was very comfortable, facing the canal. The view was nice, especially as it was raining. Close by are very good restaurants, especially if you enjoy fish. Finding a parking spot in one of the public parking places was a challenge, but it’s just a matter of time. The staff is very welcoming and excellent. Breakfast is very good. I’m sure I’ll be back soon for another weekend.
