Better than a 3 star!

Reviewed 25 october, 2019

We are currently sitting on our balcony, enjoying the morning with a cup of tea.(we bring a kettle, mugs, tea and coffee with us wherever we go!) Tea making facilities are just about the only thing that the hotel doesn’t provide in the rooms.......fridge/minibar, safe, hairdryer....all at no extra charge (4* hotels, take note!). The hotel is a little dated,(closing at that end of October for refurbishment), but we found it to be clean and relatively comfortable. The beds were not to my taste(I prefer a hard mattress) but my wife slept well...... The food was acceptable, with enough choices that meant whatever your dietary preferences, you could eat....that said, it did become a little monotonous by the end of the week. Reception Staff were very helpful, as were the dining area staff, who were always courteous, and chatty, with a smile and a welcome. They are a credit . The pool area was clean, with plenty of beds and free pool towels....the swim up bar was closed for the season, but the poolside bar was open, although with dwindling stock due to the refurbishment mentioned earlier. Yes the pool was cold, but hey, it’s the end of October , so suck it up snowflakes! It’s not cold once you’re in.....honest! To summarize, we would happily return to this hotel again, and after the refurb, who knows what improvements will have been made? Definitely better than a 3*!

A nice suprise

Very pleased with this hotel, it but just as nice as any others I have stayed in across Europe. Nice big very clean bedroom with a walk in shower, as I had requested as I have a disability. Unfortunately it was just at the top of the large staircase which echoed all the noise from the bar, lounge and reception, also people going back to their rooms liked to hold a conversation on the way and never respected anyones privacy, not the hotels fault I know. I asked for a change of rooms which I did get, where I didn't have to wear ear plugs all the time. The first room was 332, the second 343. The hotel is spotless and all the staff really helpful, especially Toni on reception, who was very caring throughout my stay especially as I had had a family bereavement whilst there. The food was good, lots of choice, though the dining room did get busy at times. Lovely staff. 2 nice beaches close by but much easier going down than coming back up, for the oldies. The buses where handy, best to get on at the terminus, always one waiting. Get the tickets at the hotel shop, 12k each,6 into Dubrovnik, 5 to the cable car there. Wi-fi reception was good even in my room. The safe was free, there was an hair dryer in both rooms. The shops couldn't be closer. Went on 2 trips, one to Montenegro and one to Moston, Bosnia, I normally book with the cheapest company but I booked with Jet2 as there where so many different nationalities there I wanted to make sure I got an English speaking guide, they where really good and I learnt lots of history about the places. I went in October but would go earlier as the weather wasn't to good, though there were some fabulous thunderstorms.

great holiday

Just back from a holiday Mid May 2015, we travelled with the Travel Department. this is rated a 3 star hotel but it is one of the best 3 star we have ever stayed in. we were on the 4th floor and had a lovely view over the sea. ( that was pure luck). some rooms are facing the front of the hotel, but after speaking with other guests we all have the same things to say. The rooms are big, very clean and are well looked after. Could not find any fault. The food was buffet service, plenty and very well presented. the breakfasts were brill. our evening meals were good also. we found the staff very friendly. the bus stop is at the top of the road. bus no 6. we never had more that 5 minutes to wait no matter what time of day or evening we went into Dubrovnic old town.

Simple - such a lovely hotel

We have just returned from The Hotel Terina as part of a package holiday with The Travel Department - ( we have travelled with The Travel Department many times) and I have to say this hotel is just so very lovely. The staff are a credit to the management in every way and in every department, so friendly, helpful - (even to the most awkward, annoying people). The hotel is spotless - in fairness maybe a lick of paint in certain areas would not go un-noticed but spotless otherwise, the pool area is just perfect to lie back and feel the heat on your face with a cheeky wee cocktail in hand :)) and a tasty snack if you want. Some people are very hard to please in life - but in this hotel you must be extremely hard to please as it was very much a pleasure to be a guest here and would definitely return - but only when I lose the half stone I gained eating the fabulous food - desserts a must to any Weight Watcher. Dubrovnik old town is about 10mins away on the bus - no 6 bus stop is at the top of the hotel entrance, and bus tickets can be got at the gift shop in the hotel. Fantastic wee shopping area with shops, bars and restaurants at the back of the hotel

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. For a three star the facilities were excellent and being part of the group of hotels we spent time around the pool at the 5 star which had a fabulous view. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful, and efficient. Our room was large with a nice balcony overlooking the park area. Everything was spotlessly clean. The bus to the old town was just at the top of the road and was every 10 minutes . The breakfast was a buffet style but you could vary what you wanted to eat quite easily. We are landing to return to explore the area more and will be booking another stay. Many thanks
