No refund/complementary discount in times of pandemic

I never got to see the hotel as our visit was booked in march-april 2020, however the pandemic happened. And I paid a big sum for a group of people. It was a non refund ticket- but who could predict this pandemic? So they didn't refund me when requested. They said they can transfer it to September if I agree to PAY EXTRA ( which they forgot at the time I requested and it took some time to remind them) now it was still unsafe to travel in September so tjat had to be cancelled. I am giving this star because they didn't even give me a complementary voucher. I was saving those money for long time, I bought a non refund ticket as I thought I can save a bit, every little matters. Especially now in pandemic times. And they didn't do a partial refund, not even a blimin voucher given the circumstances of COVID... I couldn't write the review on booking.com so I am writing it here. I don't know how the place is, but I do know customer services are absolutely USELESS. Be very CAREFUL when booking with this place. Only book if you don't care if you'll lose your money as you will never see it back! Absolutely furious to this day. First time I experienced such a rubish attitude from customer service.

the room is functional with everything you need for a short stay and clean. I am very satisfied with the service. Breakfast is quite ok and for dinner a simple menu and extremely tasty and good quality for a reasonable price.
so disappointed and still waiting for the refund.

hi, my friend did a reservation for me before my flight and they took my money for my account.after an hour i cancelled my reservation due the hotel cancelled the shuttle on that day,and they recommended me to hire a taxi for 20 euros for each trip. i will be in my check in on the July 10th 2020. i need one room for a night. i paid 62.70 euros,so i told my friend about the money and he said that the money will be back to me within between 3-5 working days. after that i did not get my money back,i let him know. he got in touch with them by email and phone. they said in 2 days,3 days had passed and he called them. they said is the bank problem is nothing to do with the hotel. it is been almost a week and a half and you guys can not say something honest and throw the ball to another. i booked the room on 08/07/2020 and the reservation was for July the 10th 2020 but i cancelled the reservation the same day when i booked it and till now no answer about my refund. my name is cristian camilo londono montenegro thanks,i hope you guys get in touch.

I was in the hotel for almost a week. The staff did everything to make the hotel feel like a home away from home. Everything was possible. Nothing was to much. I highly highly recommend this hotel. Don’t always go for the big boys but look for little diamonds like this hotel.

We made a booking well in advance of our stay in June of this year and paid in full , we were really looking forward to a fun and relaxed holiday that we have saved up for a very long time. With the closure of all international and domestic travel out of Australia we sadly needed to cancel all of our travel arrangements and found everyone very understanding and helpful EXCEPT for this Hotel. When I phoned them I was advised to put my request to cancel in an email, which I did immediately. I received a reply the following day (just addressed to Dear Guest) not even personalised - and was advised that because I purchased a discounted rate ($245.00 for 1 night 1 room only) and it was non refundable they weren't going to refund any of it. Also no name was written on the email to reply to anyone directly. I have worked in the Tourism industry for very many years and also own an Airbnb and have refunded all of the advance bookings in full that had to cancel due to this pandemic with complete understanding even though it will put us in a difficult position to pay the mortgage. They did offer a discounted rate including 1 breakfast if we decide to stay again - which of course we won't be and certainly won't be giving any more money to this Hotel. Extremely disappointed and obviously wouldn't recommend this Hotel to anyone in the future!
