Cigarettes room smell, dirty, noise
Reviewed 20 november, 2021
We came at 10pm with 2 babies, they don't have cribs/baby beds. We came to the room and its absolutely disgusting. HORRIBLE and very strong smell of CIGARETTES, dirty room, floor and bathroom. And infested with flies and cockroaches. Sheets where dirty with hairs, stains and holes. People were smoking, drinking alcohol, barbequing and partying outside of the room and didn't want to leave the area or be quiet. We called the front desk many times until someone answered, we asked to speak with the lady who gave us the room and he rudely answered why and didn't want us to speak to her. So we came to the front desk. Front desk said people smoke inside the rooms although it's a "smoking free rooms" and they have nothing to do about it. We tried another room but it was even worse. We said we don't want to stay there and asked for refund and they said it's NOT POSSIBLE TO REFUND, and refused to call the manager. Save your money!
Under new management. That's all I need a say. Eww

All I need to say is where is the last management cuz my start was not a good 1. Just not cleaned at all. An blood stains like a murder happens. Not good. Please bring back the last management. Or teach this manager and cleaners to clean right
Cheap but scroungy

Affordable price. Close off freeway. There are lots of flies(feedlot nearby) and cockroaches and others I didn’t recognize. No bites though. Some fixtures falling apart. Vinyl floors makes one curious. Stain on sheets but washed. Most important, the water was only hot and never cold
Flies Flies Flies!

I would give zero stars on this place. We ended up here because we needed to stop for the night as we were driving moving trucks and were tired, and we didn't think it would be too bad. We were wrong. We all would have driven on (no other hotels nearby had rooms) if we could have. Every room we looked at had 50 to 100 plus flies in it. Yes, flies, no joke. The desk clerk showed us several rooms after the first "hell no", but they all had this issue. One room had the smoke alarm missing from the ceiling. Another was chirping a low battery warning and the desk clerk actually saw it, commented on it and did nothing. That was our room. After killing flies for 40 minutes and still not getting them all, we decided to not leave any bag unopened, disinfected the sink with alcohol wipes and used it to do the minimum necessary to clean ourselves up. Never got all the flies killed. We never saw 1 strip of fly paper, either. One person in our party slept with her mask on. We decided to quarantine our clothes and keep all our bags closed up tight. Didn't feel comfortable even using the shower, other than to wash my hair, standing outside it and dunking my head. Grossest place I've ever seen in my life. If I'd had my own car I would have slept in it instead. Stunned that the state of California has not shut them down. This place has to be a public health hazzard.
This Hotel is a Trainwreck.

I was on a long road trip with my son and granddaughter during the COVID closures. We stopped in Buttonwillow and saw three choices, we chose the Vagabod and we chose poorly. Our room was non-smoking but there was an ashtray on the outside window ledge. The room smelled like cigarettes with a slight odor of pot. I attributed it to the adjoining tenants who were outside their rooms constantly smoking something or another. The beds were so worn out they were soft and sagging. The bathtub had exposed rust around the drain. The walls and doors in the bathroom and the main part of the room were dirty or marked up. This place needed a good cleaning, new mattresses, and painting. The door had large gaps around the door where daylight showed through. We had been traveling all day and arrived late so we didn't bother to leave or get our money back as we were tired. I'll never stay here again.
