Wonderful!
A very good guesthouse at a good location between the train stations of Balatonfüred and Balatonaracs (some noise from the trains). It is a 10-15 minutes walk to the city center and the Balaton Lake. Very friendly reception by a lady that speaks English very well. Very nice rooms with a balcony, airco, fridge, tv, a small desk and a modern private bathroom. My room was a little hot thought, the airco couldn't handle the heat. Very good WiFi reception. In the common kitchen there is a water boiler and a microwave oven. There is a small swimming pool and a common terrace here you can sit or drink something. Extemely good breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, yoghurt, different kinds of quality bread, eggs, sausages, good coffee (not always the case in Hungary)...
Cosy place
A bit difficult to find and Hungarian people are not very helpful, when asking for guidance.. Well, Gold House is a cosy small pension, with adequite sized rooms, lovely balcony and nice dining area. Receptionist very kind and helpful. Nice swimmingpool.
A wonderful place.
An excellent place to stay with a small family, wonderful pool and a good breakfast provided (they do bacon and eggs for all the Brits reading this) and the two very minor problems were dealt with immediately. Stay here again? You bet.
A real jewel
This is the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. Everything is spotless - unbelievably so. They are manic about cleanliness and it is a really comfortable and nice place to stay. Super furnishings and everything works. Great hosts. Quiet side street. A bit of a stroll to the lake but not that far. Restaurants locally so no need to get the car out. Highly recommended.
Very good pension with nice peeple , good food and very clean room
We went to astoria hotel to get a room for the night and we were told they havea cheaper pension too because the hotel was very expensive, we were brought there and had a great service while we were here,everything looks new and bright and they have a sauna and a swimming pool. we could use the kitchen whenever we wanted and breakfast was very good,this was in the good prise of 40 euro per night! and the rooms were cleaned very good everyday! U would say this is the best pension in balatonfured you can stay, we have had a lot worse here in the past,we are very happy and will be coming back!
