Wonderful Resort, Lovely Staff!

Reviewed 21 march, 2023

The resort was lovely. We stayed in 2 of the villas with private pools an ocean view. The staff was very attentive, particularly Sak, or as we took to calling him during our stay "Uncle Sak". He was lovely, entertaining and very nice to us and excited to talk about our lives in Texas. The rooms were well appointed and clean, we didn't get to explore the grounds as much as we would have liked because of our short stay, but what we did get to see what modern and well cared for. The resort is a short tuktuk or taxi ride to the Bangla market, and about an hour from the Marina. Would definitely visit again!

Not a place if you’re over 60

Reviewed 20 march, 2023

The hotel and suites are very nice for newly weds, not an older couple. Steps everyplace and no handrails any place. The sky bar is a death trap for the less than young. Private pools etc make it everything for live birds. I had booked it for 3 nights, but checked out after one. You need a cart to pick you up from every place. Too steep to just walk. My room was huge with my own pool. Room service wasn’t very good…frozen pizza. Just not for the 60+ crowd

A stunning and memorable stay

Reviewed 28 february, 2023

The overall atmosphere at the hotel is private, peaceful, and quiet. We especially appreciated the large size of the the villa and the private pool it had. We stayed in the one bedroom pool villa deluxe ocean view. The villa itself had all the amenities that we needed as well as a free minibar which was a nice touch. The rain shower was also awesome and the ocean view was great! The private beach and the main pool were also very enjoyable. There were plentiful of sun chairs as well as various water activities like kayaking or snorkeling to enjoy at the beach. It was also nice to explore the hotel area as the whole place is very aesthetic and had many spots to take cool pictures and relax. In addition, the tuk tuks could be called by conveniently placed "tuk tuk posts" in case we didn't want to walk. The main restaurant was great. Firstly the design of it is wonderful with high ceilings and these massive swiveling wooden doors that open up an ocean view to enjoy. We had both dinner and breakfast there and a special mention has to be said for the breakfast selection as it was very plentiful and delicious. Lastly, the staff were all very friendly and attentive at all times. Overall, we had a very memorable stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

Lovely to stay

Reviewed 18 february, 2023

The hotel is very luxury, with private pools, ocean views, swings, amazing decorations and activities such as water sports and fitness classes. We took yoga and Thai Chi classes, the instructor (Tom I think) was very nice and helpful. It's a small luxury village. The villas are far from the restaurants and the fitness center but there are always tuk tuks available within moments to take you where ever you want. The staff is very friendly and attending every need on time. The big pool is also lovely and you can enjoy the beach which is only accessible through the hotel, I searched a lot of hotels for our stays and it was one of the few that could access a nice and quite beach directly. I noticed there are many hotels with sea view but you can't access the beach directly. I'd say that it is also a very instagramable cafe for those who want to take pictures and post. It has plenty of swings, a lake, the pools, everything is out of wood etc. We really enjoyed our stay there. They even arranged a special dinner for us for our anniversary, with fine dinning dishes and an amazing cabana decorated by the beach. For cons, the Internet was slow and logging you out every while. Also the hotel needs to take care of some old amenities they had, such as refreshing the color of the wooden doors and replacing their sofas (didn't feel comfortable sitting on the sofa, looked old). Also apart from the fine dining experience, the food provided by the restaurant was not a 5 start standard, need to work on this. Lastly, the spa is extremely expensive compared to other hotels. I would definitely revisit though as in general it was a great experience.
