Winter Getaway
Stayed in the renovated 2 queen Buffalo Room. We loved the separate bedroom apart from the living room with fireplace. The fireplace was the highlight for our family. Rooms clean and new decor was lovely. We stayed 4 nights and the only snag in the trip was the first three hours. Our check in along with others went past 4:00 pm due to rooms not being cleaned yet. When we arrived to room there was no wood in wood stack outside and no matches in room. It took 2 phone calls and one visit to front desk to receive wood, 4 hours later. After that we had a lovely stay and stocked up on wood when the delivery staff came around.
Rustic Yet Luxurious
We stayed in a premier room with a balcony, clawfoot tub, and wood-burning fireplace. Incredibly beautiful! From the balcony we had a view of the mountains through the snow-covered trees. The tub is deep and long, so if you are a bather, you will love it! The bathroom in general was huge! Wood and kindling for the fireplace was already in the room, with a wood pile steps from your door to replenish if necessary. Really set the ambiance of a mountain getaway! Steps away was pretty much an unobstructed 360-view of the mountains. Breathtaking! The staff were accommodating, kind, and very friendly. When you go to the mountains, why would you stay in a typical hotel you'd find in the city? If you ask me, lodges are the way to go, and I highly recommend here! Rustic yet luxurious!
First earth quake experienced here
If you like great food, courteous staff, breath taking views and a fireplace in your room to boot then check this place out, I have too write some more words to make the 200 character limit. I hope this does it.
Cold Valentines Day
Room could have been cleaner, heat didn’t work great in the room, check in was at 4pm but room wasn’t ready until 5:30. We drove 6hrs to get there only to drive around for another 1.5hrs waiting for our room to be ready. Front desk staff was unfriendly and not helpful. Restaurant was really good and had great staff.
Cozy Banff Getaway
The rooms at Buffalo Mountain Lodge are ultra cozy. The highlight for us was the wood burning fireplace. The hotel has a rustic, cabin-like feeling, nestled amongst the trees. We enjoyed the fact that it was away from the town, so it felt more secluded. Even though amenities were still closed due to Covid, we were still able to experience in-room dining with a lovely and delicious breakfast each morning that was included in our rate. Staff were very friendly and quick to respond to any request. I look forward to coming back, once the restaurant and hot tubs are open.
