Budget hotel near BTS skytrain
Opinión escrita el 4 de Junio de 2019
During the Vietnam days the S6 hotel was known as the Crown hotel. The S6 I assume means Soi 6 off of Sukumvit. However, the hotel is much easier to get to from Soi 8. It is very close to the BTS skytrain stop for NANA. The hotel itself is very old but rooms are very clean. Rooms do have TV's and a refrigerator (no safe). You can get a buffet breakfast with room. It was OK but not great. The eggs were cold and they said I would have to use microwave if I wanted them heated up. For the price, I would stay here again for short stay
Handy for Trendy

You get what you pay for.
Cheap and a bit run down, is in need of modernisation, but very close to Trendy building if you need a visa, also close to Nana skytrain,Terminal 21 shopping mall, Korean food precinct and many local restaurants and night life. The 'boutique' rooms are worth the extra. We were given a standard room for the first of the 3 nights as the one we booked was not available, but they refunded the difference in cash, which was nice. The rooms are clean but the wifi is a bit hit and miss, the signal strength was stronger from the Sofitel which we could see out the window.
Same as ever

You can always guarantee a room is available here its a 1000 tb a night for a standard room 1180 tb with breakfast I simply don't bother with breakfast as it's not worth waking up for in my opinion I've been a guest here for a few years the staff do remember you which is always a nice thing jing Dee the owner is a lovely lady the standard rooms seem to be coming run down the carpets have seen better days they do a delux room which I believe to be around the 1300 tb mark which comes with a flat screen TV and a wooden floor but when you start to pay these prices it does start to become expensive for what you get however it's a great location and family feel hotel will always consider part of my stay in Bangkok here

I was a wee bit skeptical about staying here having read some pretty awful reviews but my booking was done at the last minute so in for a penny ..........
Arrival was decent and efficient and after being escorted to my allocated room, I found that it was reasonably spacious, had all the amenities expected and decently furnished. The bath was supplied with piping hot water (it takes a time to arrive) and the TV had acceptable stations available.
Ok, it’s not the Marriott, the Crowne Plaza or one of the many 4-6000thb per night hotels in the city but it doesn’t claim to be- the price you pay is cheap for this area of town so it could be argued that those who write very damning reviews have perhaps set their expectations rather high or have just been a little unlucky.
For me, this is a decent budget hotel with budget prices that are hard to beat. Certainly worth the money IMO.
