We have stayed at better places for cheaper but we wanted to be close to the Southern Bus Terminal for our departure the next morning. The staff was helpful when we arrived close to 11 p.m. The bed is rock hard and the towels are scratchy. The room is clean and simple. We did not have any issues here, but I would probably choose another place to stay next time we are in the area.

nice stay

just stayed at the Komol Residence, had a pleasant stay, with not any negative comments. The building is a serviced apartments, and tug away about 100 m from the main road. There is no breakfast included, due the fact there is no restaurant on the, hotel but plenty just 2 min away. The suite is about 50 m2 comfi beds. Air-condition is a bit to the noisy side, but works fine. Staf is very good at Thai, not that great in english...If you have business in this end of town you get a good average stay at a fine price.

There are better places to stay in Bangkok

Stayed for 1 night in a "standard room" for 650 bht. The building is a serviced apartment complex, old and the room had not been renovated for a long time. The bathroom windows and balcony door did not have screens to keep out the mosquitoes, there was a septic smell in the bathroom, the bathroom door was rotting on the bottom, the water heater for the shower was pretty old, and the bathroom walls needed a good scrubbing/cleaning. To get a cup of coffee in the morning, had to go out of the building area down the street (there was nothing in the building open in the morning for coffee/etc., the room did not have a hot water pot/etc.). Komol does not seem suitable for a short-term stay (one or two nights) as it is a Thai residence/neighborhood without amenities of a hotel/guesthouse. There are much better alternatives that offer better value. In closing, the office personnel were pleasant albeit only available during regular business hours.

Great place to stay

Very affordable, clean and comfortable. All the staff are great - very helpful and knowledgeable. Residence is apartment-style so you're in with normal working folks with local food easily accessible and food onsite as well. On western side of city so is a decent ride to either airport but taxis are cheap. Just ensure you travel off peak because city is gridlocked with cars otherwise.

This is a new hotel with a manager that truly cares.

We were very pleased with the hotel and the staff. They were helpful with taxis, local eating establishments and you could not go into the lobby without being given cold drinks. This is one of the few places we were given water in our room daily and the only place the kettle was delivered full. It will defenantly be a stop when we pass through Bangkok.
