More about the hotel
Nice and simple
An inexpensive place to hang out in and well located. Hotel needs more lighting though. Artistic design and environmentally conscious in its approach. Not for people who want more pampering ....but otherwise okay for a few nights. No toiletries. But that is gone for me
Songkran 2019
We were recently guest at Silom Art Hostel. The location was great for the Songkran festival. This was our second time to stay at this location. The new fresh atmosphere shows in the existing style with updated ideas and touches....more ideas in the works. We had the chance to hang out with some of the hotel gang. What a fun night! Thanks guys! All the staff are friendly and helpful. We will happily stay again on the next visit to Bangkok.
Good value.
My room with twin-beds has shower, sink, toilet, tv, desk, cabinets, bench, chairs, towels, and air-conditioning. The staff was accommodating. Self-serve laundry room is available. Fridge was not available in room. The room and building was stylish. This hotel is only about 5 mins away from Chong Nongsi station, making traveling around the city very cheap and convenient. Near the hotel are also night markets, and silom market during the day, making it easy to grab quick food.
Unique and artistic hostel!
The first thing I want to say is, AFFORDABLE! You can get only 25 $ a night. The hostel quite uniqe with industrial design concept. Every room has their style. Near a lot of muslim food, madsage, and BTS Chong Nongsi. Private bathroom, TV, and AC is include in private room.
Great value comfy rooms and uniquely designed hostel tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
I have been staying at this hostel/hotel for several years now whenever I am in Bangkok. It is now known as Zen Hostel Silom 14. It is a great value for location and price. It is super quiet and tucked away in an alley behind the main road, but it is still walking distance from Chong Nonsi BTS and the local market is a few steps away to fill your tummy with tasty local cuisine. If you are looking to relax with some peace and quiet at the end of hectic day touring or running errands in this city, this Zen sleeping spot is a good choice. It has a few backpackers style dorm rooms and many options for private rooms. I have stayed in all their rooms throughout the years from dorms to twin to standard to king sized rooms. Don't expect backpackers social hub atmosphere here as it remains quiet throughout. I stay in this place for some quiet time to do work or just chill when I am done socializing and meeting travelers at other popular backpackers in Bangkok. This Zen hotel/hostel is truly a hidden artistic gem with a very bohemian vibe. The decor is defined by interesting funky and eclectic art seen in the rooms, the lobby, the living spaces with some hammocks, and a fantastic rooftop garden to drink beers at night or eat breakfast in the morning. The overall unique design of the hostel coupled with comfy beds, helpful and polite staff, and great deals on rooms attracts visitors from around the world. I recommend Zen Silom if you are looking to take a break from the hustle and bustle in Bangkok with affordable and clean rooms. We all need some zen time while traveling, and this hostel is it.
