Good Hotel in Bangkok

We were here already the 3x guest and can this hotel unreservedly recommend! The service is good. The hotel is modern, the rooms are large enough and the breakfast is one of the best we had in hotels in Asia. Small criticism: The rooms are unfortunately a bit noisy! We will be happy to come back! My first stay at U Sathorn was pretty bad. My downstairs neighbour smoked every 30 minutes or so, and my balcony would fill with cigarette smoke. It would also get inside my non-smoking room despite my having the doors closed. This kind of defeated the purpose of having a non-smoking room and made it difficult to enjoy the balcony. The rooms are also extremely noisy. The setting may be peaceful, but inside the rooms you hear every single thing your neighbour does. I slept with earplugs in and still was awakened by my downstairs neighbor moving the desk chair around. I've never stayed in a place where the rooms have worse soundproofing. The wifi is weak and unreliable. It's not strong enough to even load a YouTube video most of the time. If you've got important work to do, you should not count on being able to do it from here on their wifi. I expressed these issues to management upon checkout and they invited me to come back and told me that they would make sure I had a pleasant stay. I figured I'd give them a second chance and booked a two night stay when my plans changed and I ended up needing to stay in Bangkok a little longer. Big mistake on my part. On the afternoon of my first day, I was told by the manager that arranged my return visit that there "would be some people in the garden from 8am-9am" for a wedding. I typically sleep until 9am or so, but I figured if it was just going to be a few people out in the garden I could sleep with earplugs again and avoid being awakened. What the manager failed to mention was that there would also be music blaring from a loud speaker directly outside my room. Also, the wedding started at 7am, not 8am as he told me the previous day. 7am, on a Tuesday morning and I'm being woken up by loud music blasting right outside my room. I guess the hotel decided that their guests don't matter since the wedding party probably brought in more money. Fair play to them I guess. I just wish they had been honest about how loud this party was going to be and how early it was going to start, so I could have stayed elsewhere and finally gotten a decent night of sleep. Bottom line, if you're looking for a peaceful place to stay in Bangkok, this isn't the place. Even if they don't have a wedding during your stay, you'll likely still have issues with the room soundproofing, cigarette smoke getting in your room, and the poor wifi. If you want a peaceful place in Sathorn, stay at the Sukhothai instead.
Nice hotel, but very noisy

This is hotel is great, but please check beforehand whether there is a wedding party going on or not. We were woken up at 6:30 am by preparations for a wedding party around the pool. They were testing the sound equipment. The wedding party was just under our balcony overlooking the pool. After testing the sound equipment, the wedding party started at around 7 am ... as they were using microphones and loudspeakers, it was incredibly loud. No chance of any further sleep. Complaining to the receptionist did not yield any result whatsoever. Anyway, as all rooms overlook the courtyard pool, it’s worthwhile checking beforehand whether there is a wedding going on or not. Other then the terrible racket going on early in the morning, no complaints whatsoever about this hotel, in fact we would have enjoyed it very much if they had allowed us a full night sleep.

Great 24 hrs stay in peaceful hotel in the heart of the city. We got room upgrade to Superior Garden View once checked in and the room was comfy, clean and spacious. We have ordered in-room dinning on 9-ish pm and the wagyu steak really goooood.
