very bad experience

Reviewed 8 august, 2020

I had booked 4 rooms for may, the booking was canceled due to Covid-19, no refunds, no voucher and no communication from the hotel, they do not respond to e-mails and phone calls. Very bad experience.

DO NOT BOOK

Reviewed 21 july, 2020

Will not respond personally to your emails. Will only respond if you booked through a third party website only because they will be removed. When they do reply they are incredibly rude and condescending, excusing any responsibility they have. They will not return your money.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Reviewed 1 june, 2020

The hotel cancelled my reservation and refused to refund me. Now I'm down just short of 2 grand. Endless phone calls and emails, all a complete waste of time. Thieves conducting illegal practices in the guise of a hotel. Avoid this establishment at all costs, there are lots of other Hotels in the area, trust me when I say save your money and try somewhere else. You will only be disappointed if you book with these. *And to top it off they are STILL TAKING BOOKINGS, STILL TAKING PEOPLES MONEY AND ARE STILL CLOSED AND UNABLE TO ACCOMMODATE. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

Reviewed 20 may, 2020

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL - Please be careful when booking with this establishment. They have appalling customer service. They were unable to host my booking for accommodation, however due to the lack of (actually no) correspondence with the intermediate company (hotels.com) the have taken full payment and will not offer a refund. Far to many emails left unanswered, no phone calls answered. Truly appalling. BEWARE

A Day in Barcelona!

Reviewed 15 march, 2020

Barcelona was my last stop after two weeks in Europe. Although it was only for a day I made sure to book a room around the Gothic Quarter. I found Jaume I on social media and the price was right, the reviews good, and location perfect. Having said the above I wasn’t expecting perfection... I just wanted a good night of sleep, a clean place, and somewhere safe. Jaume I was exactly what I was looking for in Barcelona. Just a place to drop my bags, freshen up, and explore the great city of Barcelona. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room is in a historic building with very thick walls. My window faced an alleyway. You could feel the history of the Gothic Quarter all around you. And although the furniture was quite dated... it was doable. For a budget stop... I’d stay again in a heartbeat! Gracias!
