Treated like family

Reviewed 4 december, 2021

We stayed for several weeks during a time when hotels were transitioning out of strict Covid protocol. We felt very safe and well taken care of at this hotel. The staff is simply superb, especially the front desk and the breakfast staff. They treated us wonderfully, highlighting places of interest, helping us identify Covid testing clinics, gifting us with wine and tapas--they even bought me a Spanish book when they learned I was taking Spanish classes. The hotel location is very convenient to shopping, bars and restaurants, sight-seeing and the metro. Other details: - We needed to work from our hotel room so we requested an R-Apartment, which had 2 separate rooms: a bedroom and a separate living room with cooking area, plus 2 full bathrooms. Our room was very quiet, and we were near the elevator. The staff was very accommodating and placed work desks in both the bedroom and living area so both of us could get work done. The kitchenette was tiny: really you can’t do much cooking other than in the microwave or on a separate, plug-in burner, so we did a lot of eating out and food delivery. In the R-Apartment, there are 3 mini-bar-sized refrigerators but no freezer. There were 2 espresso makers and 2 hotpots (1 in each room). The couch in the living area was not a sleeper couch. There are safes and closets in each room. Both bathrooms had the best water pressure we’ve ever experienced, and we were on the 7th floor. - Breakfast at the hotel is expensive (24 Euros), although our was included in our stay. Food selection was good and kept expanding once Covid restrictions were eased: fruit, cereal, cheeses/meats/fish plus salad, pastries, juices, plus we could order other items like omelets or pancakes from the kitchen. There is self-serve coffee. - The hotel gym is very nice, with several modern cardio machines and weights. - The hotel location is great—Passeig de Gracia is a 2 minute walk and the subway station is a main one. There’s a convenience store across the street from the hotel and bars/restaurants everywhere in Eixample. We loved our time at this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Amazing property, staff, & service

I have never been treated so well in all my years of business and holiday travel. It starts with the leadership of the GM Juan, then Front Office Mgr Rafaelle, then to the staff Sylvia & Esteban. Words will not due this experience justice. You have to go and see it for yourself. Please check it out for business or holiday travel you will not be disappointed. Be well Dan

Good service and location but mattresses need changing

Reviewed 16 november, 2021

The service is friendly, efficient and responsive. They gave me a room at 10am - a big difference from some hotels where it's 2pm no matter what. Location is convenient. Main shopping street 1 short block away. Grocery store across the road, reasonable Italian and Japanese restaurants nearby. The room is modernized and the air conditioning works and there is a kettle. However some things need changing. The mattress sagged and had little support on one side. I brought it up and they did something but it still wasn't okay. They need to check all the mattresses and replace the sagging ones. Also a thinner duvet would be better. Barcelona doesn't get that cold. The blackouts are hard to draw - needs a rod. Water temperature fluctuates while showering. Key cards stop working frequently. If these flaws are addressed this could be a great hotel for the price range.

Amazing!

It was supposed to be just another hotel stay, but the Hotel Team made it just WOW. They noticed I had birthday and I was Silver Member and made it just wonderful with some special touches like amenity and upgrade. I can't wait to return to them. Additionally Hotel is located just 3 minutes walk from Casa Batllo and 5 minutes from Plaza Catalunya.

A very nice, convenient hotel

Reviewed 26 october, 2021

Very nice hotel. Modern rooms, friendly and helpful personnel , particularly during the day. Convenient location in walking distance of key attractions and the metro. Also taxis are inexpensive and numerous in Barcelona. Very clean, with a huge improvement over US hotel service currently. It is a bit pricy and some of the USB ports in our room didn’t work. Breakfast was a full buffet. I would happily stay here again. Just a note; overall Barcelona is the cleanest big city we have ever seen.
