The spa was great. The staff were friendly, professional providing quality service. The hotel stay however was below expectations. The cost did not meet value. The room was dated, smelling water damaged

Walked into our room which smelled liked someone just sprayed Lysol. Room was cool but the humidity was so high that the bed felt like it was damp. I don't mind humidity but sleeping in a hotel bed that feels damp just doesn't seem right. Room costs $300+. Called front desk, they reported they are having issues controlling the humidity. It is alittle humid outside but not extreme. Would of stayed somewhere else had I known about this issue.

The hotel is run down and dirty - it feels like a converted apartment building complex. The lifeguards and water park staff are rude and anything but helpful. They don’t disclose on the hotel website that you need to be 48 inches to ride the slides (it is on the water park website but not the hotel website where we booked our room - specifically for the water park). The small kid section of the water park was closed for maintenance. You are required to float in a tube to participate in the lazy river. The rooms are overpriced for the accommodations. After 30 mins we attempted to get a refund a leave and we were told no refund would be given because it was too late in the evening despite arriving only 30mins earlier and discovering the hotel conditions. Just don’t do it. Take your kids to a real water park and stay at a clean hotel.

We’ve been staying at Cape Codder for 15 years. This last stay was the last time they’ll see us. It’s a shame that ever since they renovated with the lazy river, things started getting shabby. Had ground level room and location is perfect. However, People on second floor banging/jumping/dancing ALL night. Called front desk and security told us they couldn’t find the room making the noise. Didn’t sleep as noise went through the night like the people upstairs didn’t go to sleep! At checkout, I told front desk clerk about it. Her response was “next time you should book a room on the second floor”… Really!?!? This place used to be high end and now it’s turned into a rundown resort with a lazy river where parents let their kids run wild unsupervised. Not to mention, bathroom floor still had hair from the last people who used the room. You can tell the floor wasn’t cleaned. Ewww. Never will stay again!
