Beautiful property; no beach access, bring lots of money

The coast upon which this resort is located is jagged rock, and there is no beach or beach access. They do offer ladders into tiny coves, but the sea was too rough to use them. To provide a "beach" feel, there are many saltwater pools with sandy borders which mimic a beach feel. This is not an all-inclusive, and dining is quite expensive. For example, for lunch we had a chicken with tostones dish (fried yucca) and a beef dish. With no drinks for $64US. The grounds were very large, beautifully maintained and landscaped. Other than Valentines Day, the resort was deserted. I ventured out around 8:00 one night to take photos because the grounds were beautifully-lighted, but I hurried in as I didn't see one other person. Was kind of spooky. I gave the property 3 stars because of its beauty and probably should have given it 4 for that reason.

Sophia/Elizabeth at the front desk and Eduardo the waiter provided unparalleled service! The elevated the guest experience to one of luxury. The food was of good quality with a price tag to match. The view was breathtaking.

Spacious rooms and in excellent conditions. We got one of the multi-room penthouses, with a well-equipped kitchen and W/D in unit; large terrace with a nice garden-view.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
No problem whatsoever with social-distancing and hygiene measures.
In summary, if you are looking for a quite and peaceful vacation surrounded by beautiful views and vegetation, this is a place to go.
Avoid weekends... NOISY

The Tracadero Beach Resort in Bayahibe, Dominican Republic was definitely a mixed bag. While the apartment was extremely comfortable and well-constructed, the air conditioning was severely lacking. This to me is a really big problem in that you only had air-conditioning in the bedroom, and that only worked if you kept the window blinds totally closed. There is no glass in the windows, only screens and slats. If you wanted any light to come in the room you were opening up the room to all the outside hot-air, otherwise you were staying in an air-conditioned dark cave! The overall beach amenities at the property were phenomenal, but there was also a major problem here. This resort chooses to have extremely loud thumpa thumpa music all day and into the early parts of the night every Saturday and Sunday. If you want to enjoy the beauty of the water, the beach and the sea, it is totally impossible. The music is so loud that it permeates the apartments that are several hundred feet away from the beach area. It was horribly loud everywhere around us and I would never recommend staying here on a weekend.
