Fantastic hotel and service

We had a wonderful stay at the Osprey. It was everything I hoped it would be. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and helpful. Directly across the street is Beaver Creek Village which we spent 2 hours walking around and shopping before check-in. Check-in was very prompt, even a little early. Although we did not visit the restaurant or bar, there were lots of nice dining options within 2-3 minute walk. For sushi or seafood, Hook was a great place to eat. The Beaver Creek Chophouse was exceptional, but you do need a reservation. Vail Mountain Coffee was close by, but not worth the price and late opening time. We got great coffee from the Osprey lobby (Starbucks)! I would highly recommend staying here for a relaxing weekend getaway.
Great Service, Staff, Convenient Location

The osprey was the perfect ski lodging for our Beaver Creek vacation. The staff was amazing, super up-beat, friendly and helpful. Valet provided shuttle service to restaurants in BC, and the ski valet gave great service and advice on favorite runs. Room was comfortable and pool and hot tub were nice. All in all, excellent service and value. Will return.
Great Hospitality During Covid!

The Osprey at Beaver Creek did an amazing job with their services and hospitality during the Covid pandemic. The entire staff was well trained and helpful. The cleanliness of all areas of the hotel was superb and all staff and guests complied with mask regulations. We had a very comfortable, safe and relaxing stay.
A good place to consider in BC village if...

... you don’t need dining services!
We really enjoyed our 7 days family stay this February in this nice and relatively small hotel in the center of Beaver Creek village.
- The location close to everything in Beaver Creek village: ski lift can’t be closer, ski school, ski in/ski out, restaurants and shops
-The modern, comfy large bedrooms (ok for 4, 2 kids, 2 adults)
-Great comfortable beds
-overall clean, good housekeeping
-Great toiletries from Lather
-Nice and helpful staff: valet ski, Ian, was top notch and made our life easier!
-Complimentary Starbucks coffee the morning in the lobby, and coffee machine in the room as well as daily fresh water from the mountain, cereal bars and soda.
-Jacuzzi and heated pool.... but see in cons : facing a parking
-Free laundry, so convenient!
-Good WiFi speed
-Turn down services with chocolate 😀
-One complementary dvd movie rental, HBO available
- definitely the lack of decent dining options. I can’t understand why the management is not doing anything despite all the criticisms. The breakfast buffet at $28 is a joke. See pic, really few options, not appealing, often empty...no “a la carte option”. So the morning you have either to buy your own food and bring it into your room or go to Starbucks or to the crêperie outside, hopefully not that far. We didn’t try the diner here because of the bad reviews and the lack of options on the menu : the restaurant was often empty at night... really sad!
-The noise coming sometimes from other rooms and corridors: not super soundproof.
-At the pool, the view on the parking is not great: they should plant some trees!
- The sound coming from the Strawberry lift from 7am to 4:30pm if your room is located on the lift side ( when it has an odd number)
- The elevator is really slow
Conclusion: a serious option to consider for skiing in Beaver Creek and being close to everything. Let’s hope there will be some changes soon for dining, then it will be a 5 stars review!!!
Note that if you book few months in advance, you can get a room for a decent price!
Last thing : avoid rooms on the 1st floor: too much traffic!
Extraordinary location, but beware of the breakfast buffet ...

We loved everything about this hotel, except for the room temperature and breakfast buffet (I will explain later).
The hotel is small and quiet, very relaxing. The location is obviously extraordinary, you can literally put your skis on right out of the door.
The rooms and the common areas are nicely decorated and super clean, and we really enjoyed the pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room every day after skiing.
The staff is for the most part very nice.
We arrived around 9pm, Jacob was very helpful with luggage and skis, he set up the humidifier in our room and suggested several options for ordering food.
The check in process was quick and easy and the lady at the desk was nice and welcoming.
The ski valet was friendly and very efficient. Skis and boots were in and out fast even at the busiest time, and he also gave us information about the lifts and the weather.
The hotel also provides a complimentary corporate car with a driver if you need to go somewhere. We used it one night to go to Avon to meet with friends, and the service was impeccable.
Now a couple of notes for the hotel management:
1 – The beds were very comfortable, but the room was way too warm at night. The temperature was stuck at 71, the thermostat was useless. We ended up sleeping with a half open window the last couple of nights, but it didn’t help much. Please make sure to fix this because it is not ok to go on vacation and come back tired because of poor sleeping conditions.
2- The breakfast buffet is very disappointing.
I think the 2 waitresses try to be nice, but they look overwhelmed all the time.
The first day we arrived at 9am, after the breakfast rush, the restaurant room was almost empty. The 2 waitresses were going back and forth between the room and the kitchen, no one made eye contact or said anything to greet us for several minutes. We were two families, 7 people in total, 4 adults and 3 tall teenagers, it was not easy to miss us. We finally addressed one of them, she said she would take care of us in a couple of minutes.
The way it works is that you order beverages and special orders (like omelets or sunny side up eggs) at the table and help yourself at the buffet for the rest of the food.
Every single day they run out of some of the foods and of the utensils at the buffet and we had to ask for them and then wait, sometime for a long time.
There has not been a single day when all the foods and utensils of the buffet where available at the same time.
The last day (Tuesday February 18) was surreal. The restaurant was almost empty. We sat down and there was no silverware on the table. They ran out of it. Perhaps they forgot to start the dishwasher the night before? The waitress took our order for coffee, orange juice and one order of sunny side up eggs, then she went looking for clean silverware, and we walked to the buffet. The buffet was out of plates, bread and sausage. We took what food was available and then went back and forth few times to check if they had brought out bread and sausage. We were the only patrons at that time, and they could have easily let us know when the food we were waiting for was ready, but that idea never crossed their mind. When we finally sat down to eat, the silverware was still not there, and we had to wait few more minutes. This entire process took probably about 20 minutes, but still by the time we had our silverware and started to eat, coffees and juices were still not there. They arrived when we were halfway through our meal. The sunny side up eggs arrived after the rest of us were done eating, and our friend ate by herself while we waited for her.
The quality of the food is good, but the way the buffet is managed is simply unacceptable, considering the price point and the fact that this is a 4 stars hotel. I read several other reviews with complaints with regard to the restaurant.
We love this hotel and would love to come back next year. I really hope the management will address this issue.
