Every mouthful was a joy
Went to the restaurant for a birthday celebration with family. Had the most amazing meal - kidneys and a rib eye steak. I couldn't fault it. I'd definitely recommend it, and certainly better than a similar meal at twice the price in London.
Exceptional service
We are regulars here and the service is exceptional on every visit 1-always a warm welcome 2-drinks are served immediately 3 - asked if we are eating and can never refuse (or very rarely) BUT tonight they went to a whole different level. We were talking to a member of staff about apple crumble and cream as he asked what would you have it with? My partner answered cream always but it was not on the menu. The chap walked away and then came back a few minutes later and said I have a surprise the chef is making apple crumble for you!! Amazing. The team are all a great asset to this business!! Thank you very much.
Weekend treat with our dohs
Stayed for Saturday and Sunday night with our 2 dogs in Room 9. Lovely spacious, clean room, a huge comfortable bed with good tea and coffee making facilities. We were made to feel very welcome by Jack and his staff. Our evening meal was delicious steak pie for the husband and fajitas for me. Good size portions. We chose not to bring the dogs in with us but the bar is dog friendly. Great place to visit the cotswolds ( we went to broadway). Lovely cooked breakfast with plenty of tea and coffee. Sunday we had fish and chips and joined in with the quiz. Lots of laughs although a poor score! We highley recommend this hotel and will return. Easy access from M5 and great links into the cotswolds
Charming Staff Great atmosphere and Food
Xmas in full flow with twinkling lights, a subtle tree and no Xmas music As a grinch it’s perfect The staff were lovely and friendly The menu was varied and well cooked at a good price point for the area
A good stop on the A46
This is a good place to stop on the edge of the Cotswolds, being very bear a roundabout on the A46. It’s an old Manor House that has been recently converted into a decent dining pub with rooms. The rooms are split between the main building and an annex. The annex is nearer the main road - I stayed in room 4 at the back of the main building away from the road and it was quiet. The room itself was an ok size with a newish shower room and a comfort bed. Dinner in the main part downstairs (it must have been a pub originally but it’s basically a restaurant with a smallish bar area) was ok - I had mushroom soup and the cheeseboard. Service throughout my stay was very good. Breakfast was also good - the usual, but generous portions. It’s good value compared with other places in the area and I would stay here again.
