The overall look of the hotel needs an upgrade - paint, repairs, etc. It has a worn down look everywhere. There were permanent residents. This is totally unacceptable. The room we were given was down at the bottom. It had a musty smell and was hot as all get out because the heat index was over 100 degrees and the AC unit had not been turned on beforehand. There were moths in the room, several centipedes on the bathroom floor, and silverfish in the bathtub. The decor was dated as was the the refrigerator. There was also not much decor on the walls - only one picture. The blanket on the bed was one my grandmother would have used (satin edges and fleece). I am giving it a two rating as the staff was nice and you could at least smell the chlorination that was used to clean the bed linens and bathroom towel & washcloths. You would think that while travel was restricted and the rooms would have been virtually empty, it would be the perfect time to upgrade.

This is by far the worst stay I've had at a hotel, the room odor was terrible, the bed was not level, the door looked as if someone tried to break in and the person inside put up a fight, the floor had stains. I touched as few things in the room as possible, didn't watch tv, didn't shower, didn't touch any furniture other than the bed.

Musty and damp, rooms are beyond out dated, Everything in the room was stained or torn beds where clean but hard and uncomfortable. Internet service was spotty, TV remote did not work , no covers on receptacles and chain lock was broken off the door.
Horrible need an apology

Month later and no apology to my family: SHARE TO LET PEOPLE KNOW.: (sad they have to get people to put ratings after my post). I don’t lie, I have documentation about them and willing to share and my siblings. The owner is a greedy person and cares for no other. Don’t trust these people, check your bank. The staff is excellent, but the owner and manger are horrible. I wanted to change my reservation to go to the beach, Travelocity said they could do a early check out. Well owner threaten employee to get his money or he would get it from her. The manager doesn't work weekends, and can't be called when a problem? The rooms are not worth the money spent and then it over charged me $503 for two days and they didn't know why, plus over charged my two siblings after checkout today. We will be reporting to the better business bureau to get this resolved and for others in the future (and I reported it to travel agents and the company). Then owner threaten police, but wouldn't come talk to us over being overcharged. I hope Karma takes hold of those that take greed in place of kindness. To the owner I wish diarrhea in long traffic, thanks for ruining children's experience of the beach for greed. Always remember you took their first experience to be had. You have my info and number, call me anytime for that apology that isn't worth a bag of dog crap. Thanks for making us stay here with no choice. You'll definitely be in some prayers for all that greed you have, can't take that to hell with you. I treat other like others treat me like God says. I can be kind or a thorn, your choice. Here is proof how much I was charged for my stay at this place. Call me Karma

The photos are so not representative of this motel. The rooms are heavy with the stale odor of years of improper care and cleaning. The carpets are absolutely foul. The beds are so wrapped in plastic (I supppose to protect the mattresses) that the beds become difficult to lie in and noisy to move around in. There appeared to be a number of permanent residents who set up their charcoal grills and other personal effects on the walkways outside their rooms. Had to go to the office to get another roll of toilet paper -- they only provided one per room. My sheets actually had some blood on them, and I had to get housekeeping to replace them! The place just seemed tired and run-down.
