After more than 20 years of frequent business travel I had my worst hotel experience at the Holiday Inn Express at 2800 Express LN, Bedford, IN. I booked through Travelocity and arrived for a 2-night stay beginning Aug 13, 2021. I was given room 110, which I would later realize is located beside the elevator. I’ve stayed in rooms near an elevator before and this was much louder. The walls of my room would even shake and rattle when the elevator passed by. It was an awful night’s sleep.
When I mentioned the problem to the hotel’s general manager, Bobbi H., she unapologetically replied, “It’s loud in there.” So knowing the problem in advance she still gave me this room, no prior warning and charged full price? I asked if she’d heard the noise and she replied, “I haven’t stayed in there.” I said I think she needs to learn more about her hotel. I asked for a refund of the one night and to be moved to a different room the second night. Bobbi said that she couldn’t refund the night because I had booked through Travelocity. I left and called Travelocity. The agent told me that I was paying through the hotel and that it was the hotel who would have to give the refund. Bobbi had lied to me. The Travelocity agent then called Bobbi to discuss the issue but she hung up the phone on him. When I returned, my key no longer worked in the door and Bobbi told me that she had canceled the second night of my stay “for calling her a bad manager”. If the glove fits wear it Bobbi! Avoid this hotel at all cost.
We left with a smile!

This hotel exceeded my expectations. When on the road, we look for a location that is close to restaurants and other amenities, clean, quiet, and with comfortable beds. We were pleasantly surprised that this roadside hotel has it all. The staff are professional and get you in and out quickly. The hot breakfast was simply and convenient with premade eggs, sausages, and hot cinnamon buns. Highly recommended!
Much needed relaxed stay with family.

My wife, daughter, and myself came into Bedford on a Friday night to relax before doing some errands on Saturday. We was welcomed right away by the lady at the front desk. Everything in the lobby looked very nice. We went up to our king suite and it was amazing. Nice walk in shower. Comfy couch, lounge chair, and bed. Good size tv with plenty of channels. Only downfall to the evening was due to covid restrictions the pool closed at 8pm, so my daughter was disappointed. We did go swimming the next morning. The pool temperature could have been a little warmer. Also looked like there was algae or something growing in places along the top of the pool. Hot tub was out of order.

My husband and I's air conditioning went out, and we spent 2 days at this hotel in our hometown. Quiet, comfortable, clean, lovely! This was a great hotel - friendly staff, room was clean, beds were super comfortable, air conditioning was nice and cold. Recommend!!!

First of all the staff was great. Check in was quick. The Holiday Inn Express was undergoing a large renovation so we certainly understood some inconveniences. The kitchen was well maintained and the food good. It will be beautiful once the renovations are complete and we would certainly stay her again.
