Woke up in the middle of the night and there were cockroaches everywhere even our clothes the next morning. Manager said “Oh sorry about that “. He said I guess I will have to call an exterminator! This was our first and last time at Candlewood.

Filthy floors; caked with dirt and hair. Long black hairs also stuck to shower walls. Overall cleanliness of room seems it was not cleaned between guests, which is particularly disturbing during times of covid. Same as with other areas of hotel.
nice room, no curtains, lousy customer service

The room was very clean, bed comfortable. Nothing but sheer curtains on the window, though. I had to get dressed in the bathroom. Customer service was lousy, both front desk and reservations. Prior to arrival at hotel I called front desk with a question and was given the answer "I don't know" and was hung up on. Despite all this made a reservation for a 2nd stay which I ended up needing to cancel. It took me FIVE, yes FIVE phone calls to finally get the reservation cancelled. I do not recommend dealing with this company, especially from the customer service aspect.
Housekeeping Needs Lessons

When we entered our room and started to put things away, I first noticed the dead bug in the bathroom sink. As we folded down the beds, they were not tucked in and very wrinkled. One bed sheet was dirty and had a disgusting blood covered snot on the sheets. Maintenance arrived and remade the bed with many apologies. He took a picture of the bloody area. We should have asked to remake the second bed, since it looked unmade and used, but cannot be sure. The bathroom had spots on the floor and when i wiped them away, the cloth was dark grey from the dirt that came up. Housekeeping did a poor job of cleaning, if she cleaned at all or changed linens. In other words, disgusting. The hotel is under renovations and we noted it was needed, but that is no excuse for an uncleaned room. The TV remote was out in the open and not cleaned and placed in a plastic covered bag as Covid precautions suggest. We chose to eat in because of Covid, but it was lacking forks. The housekeeping here was lacking in all areas. Because of this, we will not return to this Candlewood Suites, and will think before we book another when there are so many other places comparable and do well. If by chance you do book here, request a room in the back away from the street. You can hear the roar of the semi trailer trucks as they go by during the night and can wake you
Great place to stay for a decent price

Stayed here for a couple of nights for my cousin’s wedding. We didn’t need much, just a place to sleep at night since we were going to be out all day. The rooms were clean and a nice size. They don’t serve hot breakfast but we did have a small kitchen & fridge if we wanted to make anything ourselves. They have a small store across the front desk where you can get a couple of frozen sandwiches and free coffee. We checked in late, 11:30pm, and Elena, I believe that was her name, greeted us with a big smile and checked us in right away so that we could get some rest. All the staff was really friendly. The only issue that I had read about was the curtains. They have a light curtain on the inside that closed all the way but the darker drapes only go about 1/3 of the way from each end so there’s a gap in the middle. All in all a good place to stay.
