Its probably the best in the area. Beds are at least comfy, we did find rose petals under the bed, after a long 12hr drive the first thing I needed to do was use the restroom not even 20 seconds after turning the light on a little roach fell from the light, when I booked online I used my card to reserve, on nce I went to check in there was or ok blend that my card had an error, yet it charged and then Reversed, than I had to use another card instead. Once i checked out they charged my credit card. But than. I noticed my bank to was being charged, thankfully they fixed it, but man the lady had an attitude until she figured out she made a mistake.psh!

Best bet is to keep driving until you get to Los Lunas, Albuquerque or just turn around. The town, village or whatever they call Belen is not a safe place. The only option for food after 9 p.m. is McDonalds or Taco Bell. The motel itself is not very modern. The pillows are just like rolled up towels in a pillowcase and housekeeping is not at all quiet when they are cleaning late at night.

This property caters to railroad workers and has 24 hour service available, is quit and clean, very nice staff.. There are two diners within walking distance. It is close to the freeway with easy access. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms have the darkest blackout curtains I have ever seen!
You’ll regret it

this hotel does NOT like commercial customers. This is a railroad hotel operated by BNSF railroad but for some reason has a Travelodge and Wyndham signage but it’s only operated for BNSF railroad. The hotel management will let you know super fast that “we aren’t equipped for commercial customers”. In three weeks we had our rooms cleaned exactly TWICE. They refused to take out any trash and the staff hate each other so there’s lots of bickering and chain smoking under your windows. Manager and assistant manager are the rudest most unprofessional people I’ve ever encountered in a professional setting. The rooms are dated and musty. There was lots of hair between the mattress and boxspring. There was a used adult diaper behind one of the the headboards and the mini fridge had someone’s moldy Tupperware lunch left behind and the smell never left the room really. The railroad employees come in and out day and night and are very loud in the hallways so it will wake you because the hallway isn’t very soundproof. I also suspect the housekeepers or management of rummaging through our luggage. I called Wyndham about it but they didn’t seem too surprised at how we were treated. There are no amenities at this hotel either, zero.

Came to Belen to be with family. When coming in to Travelodge notice the front desk was very high, only see the top of her head - when half way walking to the desk....then see raise her head - this is not a safe way of not knowing who is coming in. Check in was quick BUT when it come to our room.....she didn't give us direction very well, took 15 minutes to find the room not know the other motel (that hotel was own by another name before Travelodge bought it) was part of the Travelodge! (Travelodge use to be Oak Tree ) When coming to the door, notice housekeeping cleaning the room 2 rooms from our room.....housekeeping cleaning a room at 8:30pm???? When coming into the room, it was clean - I will check the room everywhere and I was satisfied - (think housekeeping clean just clean our room). We were in the accessible room, room is spacious and the bathroom was big - in the bathroom there is a liquid soap dispenser (dial) by the sink and a liquid soap dispenser on the shower wall (dial) never seen that before in a hotel room. Shower was open (for a wheel chair) if only it could be about an inch deep so water could stay in instead leaving a puddle by shower floor - towels were thick and you dry off good - bed was so good....didnt want to get out of bed - pillows need to be firmer - TV is analog- viewing is ok - there is not enough plugs in the room - heater is good, had it at 68d and the room temp was just right not too hot and not too cold - front desk clerk need to give direction to the room properly _ also its a pet friendly hotel -would recommend this hotel- stay here again.
