Before leaving this review I did tell reception on leaving and was assured a manager would contact me today. I also rang back 8 hours later and was told a manager was too busy to speak with me. Main door to hotel is closed so myself and my daughter (11) entered through bar door. No staff present upon entry. We walked as far as the bar, I asked a young man where was check in and he looked at me as if I had ten heads and Said through there. A manager comes over to me then, where are you going, I said to check in, he said I need your covid cert. Laden with bags I asked could I just go through so I could get my phone out to show him, he didn't allow this and refused me going further. After I showed him the pass he immediately asked for id, I said its in My case and I don't feel comfortable doing this in the middle of a bar, he then followed Me to reception and I gave it. All this time I felt completely uncomfortable and thought there has to be a better way. Checked in and requested a dinner booking, told they were fully booked for the day, this was at 4pm. I then asked could I get a drink when I returned and the receptionist remarked on my daughter being in the bar, I thought they was extremely rude. I felt as though it was the fact I had a child with me that they refused to accommodate dinner or the idea of a drink. Oh actually if I wanted a drink I could sit outside but my daughter would have to be off the premises at 8. I don't know if they thought I wanted to bring my 11 year old on the piss or maybe it was my southern accent that started all the rudeness towards us. Bar area did not stop with music until 12.30 and even on the third floor I thought I was down stairs in the thick of it, I was only missing the drink they didn't want me to get. Toilet doesn't flush, sink doesn't drain, room was fairly grubby and could definitely do with a freshen up. What was to be an enjoyable Xmas night away quickly went down hill. I've worked in Belfast for years and stayed in many hotels here and have never felt this way. If you don't want children or people from the south maybe they should state this on the website.

We chose to stay in House with another couple for the weekend as we were told over the phone we could use our spend local vouchers and then receive an extra £50 voucher on top of this as an incentive. Over a week before our stay we tried to book a table for dinner over the phone and were told we could not book as the hotel ensures to keep enough tables free for their guests for dinner. The following week (two days before our stay) we received a general email confirming the details of our stay, in which it suggested ringing to book a table for dinner. We then rang to query this only to be told that the member of staff on the phone previously had given us false information and we would not be getting a table all weekend. It was only when we rang for a second time that day and pushed the issue (because this was a special occasion) that we were given a reservation. Also during this phone call we were told that we could not use our extra £50 voucher during our stay and it must actually be used next year which was news to us; the explanation was that this rule “wasn’t advertised very well” (or not at all explained as the case may be). The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and we had a lovely meal with drinks with a great overall atmosphere. We will definitely return for a meal in future to use our voucher. Our room was just ok, everything worked fine and was clean enough. However the decor was overall quite dark with dark paint and wallpaper on all of the walls, including the corridors, and with extremely dim lighting and a window that looked on to another wall. Perhaps this is the sort of vibe they aim for and it’s just not personally for me. Overall we had a great weekend, and if it wasn’t for the misinformation we received I would probably recommend the hotel to others.
Do not stay here. Cold, dirty, noisy and poor management

Where to start I booked 2 room total cost almost £300. Tried to then cancel a room move than a wk notice but they refused to let me get a refund change date or get a voucher even though had loads of time to get room booked again. I then messaged hotel before my stay to book the restaurant to which I was told no space. I had to push on this stating that I have already lost 150 due to no refund other room plus I'm staying in hotel so please give me a table to which they finally did On arrival my partner was refused entry into building as no cobid passport I then tand reception Catriona was very helpful and gave us lateral flow tests which we did to get entry. But we could of done these in advance if know as not requirement until 13th Dec hence we stayed before this Finally got into room and 8pm and windows had been left open so it's was freezing. Room lightening is so dark obviously yo help hid fact it is dirty, you can see from pictures curtains coming off wall and bathroom dirt sitting thick. Dinner in restaurant was only thing that was nice and I spent £65 I had work next morning so in bed for 11pm only to be woken at 12:20am by the alarm going off and reception guy says oh sorry we set it off by mistake trying to get it to stop Overall total disaster to which it cost me £365 I asked yo speak to manager next morning and girl on desk said none there not in till 9am so I told her my concerns and asked for the manager to ring me which she said they would. 2 days later and still no phone call Basically avoid this place!!!
