New family experience

Reviewed 28 november, 2020

So..after numerous stays at a hotel chain in Northern Ohio, and at the end not being satisfied with the accommodations,we decided to try something new..we tried a B&B( Bed & Breakfast) the Victorian Tudor Inn in Bellevue Ohio and gotta say..we are pleasantly surprised. Any stay , anywhere has to start with your host, in our case, it's the innkeeper, Richard. Mr Richard as I call him seems to have gone above and beyond trying to accommodate and make our family feel comfortable and welcome, he prepares our breakfast, keeping in mind if we have any special needs ( and we have a picky child..so we do)and trys his best to send us on our way with a nutritious meal for the day. There are several suites thru out the Inn we had the Nautica suite, the kids had a upstairs room on the top level, after some changes due to maintenance,it wasn't ideal but it did work in the long run. Overall it wasn't a hotel chain with fancy pools a weight room and other amenities, but it was a very down home experience, and if you like feeling at home and secure..it's a nice change up, try it, you'll like it.

Three Nights and Four Days of HEAVEN

Reviewed 6 september, 2020

I was home (Bellevue) to attend a family funeral and was feeling sad for my family and tired from my long car trip. From the moment he opened the door, Mr. Stegman gave me a sense of calm and warmth. The Inn offered outstanding and VERY comfortable lodging. The Inn is unique and filled with museum qualify furniture, paintings, pictures, and figurines! As I walked through the rooms, I felt transported back through time and chuckled at so many items that I had seen, held, and dusted when I stayed at my grandparents' homes. The morning breakfast was deliciously made to order and served with smiles and excellent morning coffee! I will most definitely return to the Inn each time I travel home to see my family and friends.

Gorgeous Victorian Bed & Breakfast! Beautiful room with on suite bathroom. The innkeeper Richard is very hospitable and the home cooked breakfast was great! Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Overnight BnB in Small Town Ohio

After visiting the presidential home of R. B. Hayes we arrived to be promptly greeted by the owner Richard. He gave us a quick tour, shared insights and provided his cell number to be called for problems. He is the definition of hospitality = the quality or disposition of receiving and treating guests and strangers in a warm, friendly, generous way. I noted there were snacks, water and coffee readily available. Throughout the home there are many antique items to peruse. Our nautical room was very clean and comfortable with sufficient towels, linen and lotions. We had a Jacuzzi tub and a laptop with direct TV. The weather was not conducive for sitting outside, but a large porch with furniture looked inviting. Breakfast was ready at our chosen time. It consisted of eggs, bacon, muffin, juice, coffee and fresh fruit - Oh so tasty! This lovely meal and pleasant conversation was skillfully prepared by Joan, kudos to her! Our only drawback was foot traffic in the attic apartment above us which went on for almost two hours. Someone was either exercising or laying tile. This B&B is on US 20 in Bellevue as such expect semi truck traffic. If you like charming stays at a B&B, add Tudor Inn to your bucket list.

Perfection

I got lucky when choosing this Bed & Breakfast for a get away trip with my wife. She has not stopped gushing about the trip and especially the Victorian Tudor inn. I read a few of the reviews before selecting the B&B. So many positive comments that are spot on with our experience. It is located in a very nice town that obviously takes pride in itself. The Inn is gorgeous on the outside and the grounds are well manicured. Parking is easy and plentiful. I had the opportunity to talk with Richard a couple of times on the phone and found him to be very pleasant and accommodating before actually meeting him. Checking in was simplicity in itself and a small tour was given even though we had arrived after 9:30 p.m. (darned Buffalo, NY traffic). The interior of the Inn is packed with antiques everywhere but done so in an orderly fashion being both tasteful and clean. Richard stated, "Obviously, I'm not a minimalist." Our room was exquisite. A soft bed. A private bathroom. Very quiet. It was like being at home but with no stress at all knowing we didn't have to take care of anything. Richard prepared breakfast at a time of our choosing and was right on time with tasty food. The fresh fruit was sweet and welcome. On out first morning we had thick French toast that my wife is insisting I learn how to make in the same manner. Breakfast on our second morning was even better. I noted some reviews indicate that Richard is like meeting with a lost friend and that is absolutely correct. While waiting for my wife each morning I had the opportunity to talk with Richard and I find him to be one of the nicest people I have met in my life. He is knowledgeable of the surrounding area and will suggest some sights to see if asked. On our way back home he suggested stopping by The Rutherford B, Hayes Presidential Library in a neighboring town and he was right on target with the recommendation. I already know that my wife and I will be back in the north/central Ohio area next year and have already committed to going back to the Victorian Tudor inn. Most anything you might need to purchase can be found in nearby stores in a what I previously said is a most pleasant town. My wife and I walked to a grocery store on a beautiful summer evening and met nice people everywhere we went.
