Overnight
Very clean, staff is very nice and very helpful. Room on third floor was very quiet. Note that if you prefer a bath 1st floor only. The room had a hide a bed couch very spacious. Room rate was very reasonable considering no on-line reservation.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THE GENERAL MANAGER Mr DHARMESH TANDEL of holidayinn Belmont ,California
Firstly I never give bad review unless I seriously don't like something about the place or people around . Definately I thought of writing something here for people to know about the General manager Mr DHARMESH TANDEL of holiday inn Belmont, California . The general manager here ( name as mentioned above) was extremely rude right from day 1 of our stay . We stayed in here for 7 days n I am writing the review when I am staying in the hotel . The manager seemed quite rude when asked for the basic drinking bottle water which is complimentary many reputed hotels . He been the front desk person just asked me to come down at the front desk n get the bottles when I personally came down n asked him about the bottles n he said my staff has placed 2 bottles inside the room without consulting with the staff. I checked in the room n called him about the same he rudely compared the hotel with other hotel services n started counting all the favours done by the hotel to the guest which is generally not done anywer. Also for room service I have to call the front desk everyday n get it done . Also somebody tagged my room as "do not disturb " from outside wen I wasn't aware and wen I reported it to him he said our hotel don't do such things even before checking about the matter wen there are CCTVs installed in the corridor . I am sure this kind of pathetic behaviour by the manager himself is because v r Indians n he was definately not welcoming to us as a guest . PLEASE IF YOU COME ACROSS THIS MANAGER IN THIS HOTEL I BELIEVE YOU SHLD LOOK OUT FOR OTHER GOOD HOTELS IN THE SAME AREA GIVING YOU BETTER SERVICE AT THE SAME COST .
Wonderful 2 Night Stay
The manager and staff were amazing. I stayed here in August for 2 nights as it was fairly close to Half Moon Bay for a beach trip along with other points of interest. There are 2 elevators on site. Rooms were very clean and modern. Beds were comfortable. Lots of storage space. We felt very safe. This hotel is only a short drive to SFO. If you are planning a trip to the beach make sure to clear your vehicle of everything to prevent smash and grabs as it happened to us at Half Moon Bay state beach. The staff at the hotel helped watch our car until we were able to get the window replaced the following morning. I would definitely return when I’m in the area again.
Exceeded Expectations! Nice reasonable price place with wonderful staff!
It is hard to find a reasonable place to stay on the Peninsula. We chose the HIE Suites partly for price and partly for location. Were a little skeptical driving up, but were amazed at how nice a place this is! The staff at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. Put us in a room on 3rd floor end of the hall facing West. Room was nice, quiet, and on a weekday, mostly business people not families with kids. Slept great! There is an underground garage to park, as well as above ground at the entrance on the south side. The little breakfast area did fill up quickly but there was always plenty of food refilled here. Not a frills hotel, but very clean. The housekeeping staff was also great! We will be back again for certain. What a pleasant find!
Arriving in the evening at SF? Stay here and save mucho bucks
After driving six hours from Southern California, we broke with tradition and decided not to stay at a Fisherman's Wharf hotel, which is our modus operandi when vacationing in the Bay Area. It was the $65 parking rate that slammed the deal on that. Why pay $165 for a room and $65 on top of that when I can stay 35 minutes from SF for $90, including taxes, and pay nada for parking? Also, the complimentary breakfast was decent and the cook, Antonio, is a super-nice guy who goes out of his way to get you whatever you want or need. In addition, the front desk had a very nice young man named Da Jahn who greeted me when I entered and when I departed. A smile goes a long way towards keeping customers feeling that their business is valued. The room was adequate, clean, and the bed was comfy. Had a great night's sleep. Also, within walking distance is a mall with CVS and other stores, as well as many fast food type eateries within a 5-10 minute walk. If arriving in SF early in the day, stay at your usual hotel in the city, but if arriving at night, save your dollars for that delicious seafood dinner at the Wharf.
