Best Location
An older property but clean and comfy. Have stayed a number of times and always book a lakeview queen, ground floor. Its a direct view of the lake and right outside is a large paved area with tables, chairs and some umbrellas to sit, unwind with a glass, and enjoy the views. Wonderful birdlife, a little jetty to walk out or fish from, a cute gazebo to sit in the shade ........ I could go on. Even better the affordable rates cannot be believed.
Very good for the price class
For a $100/night room I was pleasantly surprised. Small but clean room with all your basic needs sorted. Has a little fridge, wifi was good, shower had good pressure. I had a room with a great view, overlooking the lake from my bed. So much wild life! Nice little outdoor area to relax. Friendly and helpful staff. There is aircon in the rooms but I couldn’t make a comment on that as I didn’t use it. The only negative is that you can hear absolutely everything in the room next door, only a thin door divides the rooms. Also it would’ve been nice to be able to open the windows more to get some fresh air in, but I just had the door open most of the time. If I had to book accommodation around the area again, I would go to Squid Ink.
Great Location, fantastic views
Pleasantly surprised by how nice this place was to stay, the outside looks ordinary but they are in the process of renovating. Owners were more than helpful even offered to go and pickup takeway for us. Definitely would recommend.
Great motel and stunning location
Having just checked in I have to say that I am very pleased with this motel. The rooms are clean, the towels are great, there’s a nice selection of tea and coffee plus some biscuits, the shower has power and is a nice walk in, the owner was friendly and helpful, but the main thing is the location. The room we are staying in looks out over a lovely decked area which leads to a beautiful lake. Honestly I couldn’t be happier.
Property with stunning view
This property is totally awesome. I had traveled with my wife in November and stayed in a squid ink hotel for two nights.it is in Belmont with a magnificent location just two minutes away from groceries and other coffee shops. we enjoyed our stay at its best. the rooms are very clean and hygenic. the property has a ground floor and first floor and the view from rooms is fantastic. I wish we could have stayed a few more nights in this hotel. the staff is very polite and helpful. I will surely come back and stay at Hotel squid ink.
