Hotel is adequate - not great
This hotel is clean and is in a nice location. Everything in the room functioned as expected, however internet speed was not great (adequate, not great). Read some of my other reviews and you’ll see a common complaint I make about hotels and that is no washcloth (or facecloth, whatever you call it). I had a bath towel, a hand towel and a floor bath at. I wash my face with a washcloth, just not in this room. Makes no sense to me. Also, a time or two, housekeeping did not leave me clean towels. The last day of my ten day stay housekeeping did not come into my room at all. The location is good, see,s to be in the middle of a lot going on and the big shopping mall is a short Uber ride away. Perhaps my biggest complaint about this hotel is the restaurant. The night I arrived I had work to do in the room so I ordered room service (which comes from the restaurant on first floor). I ordered a burger which I asked to be cooked well done and I very clearly said, “no red.” The person on the other end of the phone said, “yes, of course.” The burger was cooked around the edges and about 1/4” into it, it was blood red. It was room temperature or perhaps a little warmer but it was definitely not cooked. I called the restaurant to let them know they had definitely missed their mark on this one. They said “sorry” (That is all). The next night I went down to the restaurant. I ordered a steak medium well. It was a little more red than medium well, but it was tolerable. The last night I was there I was in the restaurant and ordered a steak. I asked “can I get that well done?” The waiter said with a serious, straight face, “No.” I said “whatever, have them cook it as well as possible.” Now I realize many people say it is a crime to cook a good piece of beef anything more than medium and those people can have their steak that way. When I am paying for it, you’d better cook it the way I want it and they would not do it. The restaurant had a great breakfast. Lucky for me there was a grocery store a block away so for dinner I went grocery shopping. If in Belo Horizonte again, I will likely return to this hotel. I will, however, know what to expect.
Comfortable
The room is good enough with a confortable bed, airco, wifi, fridge, shower, cable tv. There is a gym and steam room. There is a stylish restaurant. The breakfast is very good but I recommend to arrive early, because in the last hour the reposition is not good and the waiters cleaninig and organizing the tables for the lunch time. The frailty is the airco that does not work very well.
Standard business hotel
Classic business oriented hotel, in a good location. Room was comfortable, but soundproofing could be better. Window closed, but did not lock, leaving a gap for the noise to enter. No safe in the room. No kettle either, but the great staff working here provided me with one for the duration of my stay. Small fitness room, with good air conditioning. Swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna available. Breakfast is average. Mostly local dishes. Friendly staff, always trying to help.
excellent hotel with some improvements need
The hotel has amazing food / restaurant, clean, people is extreme polite and helpfull, a lot of option, great localtion, but the improvement is in the matress - bellow average and the internet is terrible, at least for the year 2019.
Horrible experience
I stayed in the hotel for only one night and a stranger burst into my room at midnight while I was sleeping!!!!! The hotel checked me in to a room occupied by another person. Apparently he was staying in that room but the hotel moved him during the day because of a problem in the room... I felt completely unsafe...the worst thing was that I desperately tried contacting the front desk, while the man was claiming about his personal stuff, and the phone was not working, same as the remote control for the AC... and not mentioning there was no hair dryer! The hotel only called to let me know what happened...making excuses for what happened instead of being apologetic... The next morning when I checked out they pretended nothing happened...no apologies...even worst because they did not check out the other guy from the room, and were charging me all his charges!!! What hotel system allows multiple check-in he same room!!! Needless to say I do not recommend anyone to stay there!!!
